I was about to buy the rest of the Thundercats DVD’s that I dont have yet and noticed in the stores that a lot of S1V1 DVD’s only have a regular cover, while some other’s have the lenticular 3D cover, but then I noticed that a lot of stores ONLY carry S1V1 now, and not the other 3 volumes (I work at Best Buy and we only carry S1V1 and will no longer carry the other 3)…so my question is, does anyone know if S1V2, S2V1, and S2V2 came in both versions (regular cover and 3D cover), or did only S1V1 come in the 2 different styles? I need to know because I was just going to order them on Amazon since almost no retail stores carry them anymore, and I want to have all 3D covers.

I’m not 100% certain on this, but I think only the S1V1 (and possibly the S1V2) covers have been re-released with no holographic boxes.
I think the only ones out of the second season are the ones with holographic covers.
Hopefully someone else will be able to tell you for certain though! 
If it helps i do know for a fact that all 4 sets were released with the holographic cover as i actually own all 4 of them with the special holo cover
I ordered mine as the sets were released, and always got the halo cover. Not sure if they cheaped up on them since then, though. Anything’s possible, but maybe the page on amazon will say? Good luck.
I have all four DVD packages. S1V1, S2V1, and S2V2 have holographic covers. S1V2 doesn’t; its cover has a bas-relief close-up of Lion-O and the Eye of Thundera.:bengali:
I have all four, and they all have the holo covers on them. I have noticed recently, at the stores, that the season 1 sets have no holos on them anymore. I think they put out different ones now w/out the holos.

I remember around X-Mas time at best buy we would get in TONS of thundercats dvds, and half would have 3d covers and the other half wouldnt…but from what you guys have told me, it seems like im pretty safe buying all of season 2 on amazon and i should only get the 3d cover…its only season 1 that was re-released with the normal cover. The only problem with amazon.com is there isnt really anyone to “ask” about the cover. Maybe ill just buy used, but still sealed, copies on ebay so i can at least be for certain that its the 3d cover.
s1v1 was re-released without the holigraphic cover after they fixed the problem of the music missing from the 1st disc, i believe this was to show that any set without a holographic cover was guaranteed to have the music issue fixed

Crows, you might be lucky enough to find the info you need in the item description on either ebay or amazon, or if they didn’t put that in, you can always email the seller and ask (that is, if you’re buying used on amazon as well). Good luck!
