On the one hand I want to be fair because Queen Lynxana is only messing about rather than literally threatening physical violence against people, but on the other hand it seems to be a common feature of her rather “off-the-wall” postings…
I’m sorely tempted to go into her post and at least edit the implied swear word, not because it offends me but because we have a swear filter on here for a reason that folks shouldn’t try and work around - but, with all of the above I’d like a second opinion.
Please can you guys give me your thoughts ASAP? If one of you wants to take the initiative with this post in the meantime then please feel free to do so - I’m going to be out all day…
I don’t think a post like this on its own warrants an outright ban, in the interests of trying to be fair - I just notice with her posts a tendency to talk about being physically violent towards people (pummeling Mark, now drowning Lordore, think there have been a couple of others), and to me it just feels a bit too…off-the-wall??
I think the way I’d describe her general standard of behaviour on our forums at the moment is that her toes are just touching the line she’d need to cross to merit an outright ban, and for me this post is an illustration of that…
Personally, I think it’s part of a quirky style she uses to post. It’s supposed to be tongue in cheek. But, considering she’s agressive and irritating, it doesn’t really come off as that. I’d ignore it. Even though she annoys all of us, she does contribute some fair discussion. Until more than one person takes offence and complains, it really doesn’t deserve an outright ban.
The guy told me they were offline friends until she started to turn on them. They wanted me to delete their accounts because they didn’t want to start anything on the forums.
They’ve kind of been MIA recently…I guess since QL didn’t do anything to them on the boards, we can really do much.
I saw that MannyC gave her an infraction, which I think is the right call given that she came out and apologised - but, I think the time has come for her to be told that she is heading towards a complete ban and needs to stop making these kinds of posts. The reason why I say this is because she is a consistent troublemaker on our forums, she’s already had a temporary suspension and none of these things have had any effect on her behaviour.
I’m not saying this with any ulterior agenda, ironically she & I actually got on decently and I feel sorry for her because she’s basically a sad drunk who’s life is pretty screwed up - but, that’s not other forum members’ problem. Just my $0.02.
Yeah, I’ve just (in a roundabout way) told her the same thing, so again, I think until something similar happens that’s all we can do. She has a canny habit of sitting just the right side of incurring a permanent ban!

I’ve never particually liked Queen or her style of posting - it’s dead weird, all that Queen extends the olive branch, drowns snarf, lights fire and I’m probably not the only one thinking it. I think the right decision was taken but that she needs to be given a final warning. Just my opinion, but we’ve allowed her time after time to be free with her thoughts and she’s just a numbskull.
I don’t think we’d lose anything by losing her altogether. I think the next complaint we receive about her or the next drunk tirade we witness merits a permanent IP address ban.
Yep, I agree with you guys - in a strange way I actually don’t dislike her, but I think she is a complete liability and somebody our forums would be better off without. I don’t think we can do anything until she steps over the line again, but I think the next time we’d be at liberty to say “enough is enough”.
