I asked the seller for more pics and info on this piece and he told me:
“… SLITH AND ONLY A COUPLE OF OTHERS SUCH AS MONKIAN WERE SCULPTED OVER SIZED. THE REST OF THE THUNDERCATS WERE SCULPTED 1-1. THIS IS A RARE HEAD PROTOTYPE CASTING AND IT REALLY IS A COLLECTORS PIECE. SORRY FOR THE POOR PICTURE. THE PIECE IS REALY CLEAN WITH SHARP DETAIL. SORRY, I AM UNABLE TO TAKE MORE PICTURES AT THIS TIME. THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST AND BY FOR NOW”
Can anyone back this up? I think it looks awesome, but me being me; I’m not convinced…

I agree, caution is needed thunderianroyalguard, protectingtoys is reselling the ones he bought from panaceacreations, obviously trying to make a profit.
Im not 100% sure that tuska was cast in 2 parts, the ones ive seen have all had tusks and face joined together, i too thought it would be hard to do, but remember resin is injected from the head base down, so basicly upside- down in the factory.
Theres so many thundercats protos on ebay, and as always, ‘history equals legitimacy’.
I had contact with Mary at panaceacreations, her stuff is 100% legit, i have had contact with 2 designers on the ljn line through her so for me, shes straight up, through her I got 2 grune paintmaster prototypes at a good price, and i emailed the designer who responded.
Other sellers need to prove their stuff is legit in my opinion, i was gonna buy a proto i need to know where they got it “a former employee” is not good enough for me, i want a name.
I also know Mary has a sack of stuff, there is alot of pre production stuff she has and she said she will lower prices on her protos if they dont sell.

Hey Guys Im new here, I’m Luis From Mexico and Im Vader vintage collector and Prototypes from other lines, I was reading this post and I decide to join to this forum, is a great forum!!! Congrats, I bought all the cast pieces from “Protectingtoys” Im glad to know those are original even if I paid more than the original price (PanaceaCreations) but that is part to have a business right? I hope I can contribute with some informationto the community, thanks for all the info.
All of these Unpainted Hardcopies are great pieces… Anyone have any pictures of painted ones? I have seen a few and the painted ones are just amazing!! If you have any post pictures!!
