Problem with the Comic Section pages... :(

Hi all,

I was just looking over the Comic Section pages of this site, and am afraid to say I’ve noticed a problem. :frowning: If you look at the pages displayed here:

http://www.thundercatslair.org/comics/marvel/marvel_index.html

…and you click on one of those pages, to give you a page like this:

http://www.thundercatslair.org/comics/marvel/marvel_01.html

…if you click on that page’s comic cover it’s supposed to open up a new window with a larger version of the cover displayed within. If you click the cover, it does indeed open a new window, but one linked to a page at www.catslair.net, and so obviously not the comic cover! :frowning:

I’ll admit I haven’t tested all 10 of those but I have checked 3 at random and they all have the same problem - I remember MannyF speaking to me about this needing doing a few weeks ago (we spoke over Skype whilst he corrected one of the pages), but obviously he’s been waylaid on correcting these. Please would it be possible for someone to fix this? Many thanks!

Also, as several things like this have cropped up along the way, I’m wondering whether there would be any wisdom in someone, or several members of the team, going through all the pages on this site and checking that all their links go where they’re supposed to go, etc.? Only a suggestion, but maybe it might be worth thinking about?

Take care for now, and speak to you all soon!

I used the Catslair.net URL quite often when making pages, but changed all of mine when the switch occured. I think it might be a good idea if the rest of the site is checked as Chris stated

Chris here…

…in particular the Toy Section, which is IMO the area of the site with the largest content. I’m thinking specifically here of problems that Neil has encountered in the last couple of days with the LJN mini-catalogues - this and the Comic Section pages are things that we’ve only just spotted, we need to confirm that there are no more issues that need correcting.

Could I suggest that we use this thread to compile a list of any problems that are located (the thread could even be renamed if deemed necessary), and then these problems be systematically corrected? This would obviously have to exclude things that were present before the site move, such as some dead links that have always been present in some of the Episode Guide pages, etc. What do you guys think?

Take care…

Actually the catslair.net links were noticed about a month ago now. I tried altering them myself to thundercatslair.org but then the pop ups wouldn’t load at all on my revised version, so I left the old version of the page as it was.

So I did try to get them sorted, but it didn’t work out for me :frowning: If nobody else has time, I guess I can look into the page again sometime and cross my fingers that it works for me this time.

I’ll fix them right now.

EDIT: All 10 comic pages should work now. I checked both the ‘Large Cover Art’ link and the image link (when you click on the cover art) and they both link to the respective image.

Chris here…

They do indeed all work now - that’s magic Manny, thank you!

Take care…

Manny, would you fix the Mini Catalogues page too? You could probably fix the links in about 5 minutes, where as it would take me about 30 minutes just to find the part of the html that needs altering. Like I said, I tried before and the pop ups wouldn’t load at all.

It’s the links for the 1987 and Rainbow Toys catalogues. The 1986 catalogue loads fine.

If your able to, I’d truly appreciate it.

I’ll do it right now.

EDIT: Neil, it should be working now. Let me know if it doesn’t work.

Thanks Manny, they are working fine now!
