Awesome and unique adult animated fantasy epic from Japanese master Hayao Miyazaki! i saw this movie in theaters when i was 17 when it hit november 1999 in my city’s theater and loved it.
Such an awe inspiring, beautifully animated and well crafted work of animated feature with an amazing score, action abound and a top notch dub cast including Gillian Anderson to Billy Bob Thorton.
The majority of Hayao’s Miyazaki anime are great works of art and it’s no wonder that he has been named as one of the most influential people in the films generally by the Time magazine.
I like especially Nausica of the Valley of the Wind, Spirited away and Howl’s Moving Castle
It’s worth mentioning here that Miyazaki co-founded back in the 80s, Studio Ghibli which was know before as Pacific Animation Corporation, the Studio which made the Thundercats 
This is by far my favorite Miyazaki film. All of his films tend to have less clearly defined heroes and villians, but for whatever reason that doesn’t bother me in this film. Spirited Away is another one I really enjoy, but I thought Ponyo was a bit disappointing.
