Hi everyone - once again I’m turning to you all for my Thundercats book.

I’m looking for any original press cuttings or reviews anyone has in their collections for the original run of Thundercats. This could be a national newspaper review about programming for children, or any commentary people have ever found.

Please note, I’m looking for things written about Rankin/Bass and Thundercats by journalists, not documents and press releases issued by the company itself.

Dave i think your project is important and you are doing a very interesting thing gathering up all of the Thundercats resources. This has never been done before officially or unoficially and it could be a magnum opus. Wish you the best with your research, i am more than eager to help and contribute providing any information, pictures or collector’s item i own. Unfortunatelly, i don’t have any official press cuttings or reviews but if you are interested i can give you the slightest details or data concerning Lion-o’s MOC various LJN versions, for instance my AFA Lion-o 90 has a unique cardback that i’ve never seen before, resembling the standard UK 22-back toy options card and the regular 14-back.
I hope your book (of omens!) ends up really great offering a comprehensive guide to the Thundercats history :thumbsup:.

I think I have a toy news update that comments on the increased sales of the ljn line and popularity of thundercats. Its independant from Playthings magazine from 1984.

Is that what you’re looking for? I can try to find more when I’m back home in july.

I must admit, this project has grown and grown and taken a life of its own. I can’t imagine anything that the book won’t cover and hopefully it will be the definitive book on Thundercats. It won’t be a light read either - the chapter that covers the show’s writing alone is over 40,000 words!

I hope you’ll all love it as much as I love writing it.
