I’m from Hialeah, FL, my nickname is Roadpigjohn.
Been a fan of 80’s cartoons all my life, I used to have some of the original action figures from the Thundercats, but sell all of them.
Looking forward for the new Thundercats designs coming from Bandai and Studio4°C.

This is a great site, I was always big fan of the cartoon, and after 30 years I finally was able to get some of the original figures, but at the same time I was disappointed by the lack of articulation and designs of the figures (In comparison with the original GIJoe action figures). Now that new classic figures are coming I’m really looking forward for the designs looking more similar to the original cartoon. :liono
You’re welcome! If you’re into the figures, you’re definitely in the right place. There’s lots of fellow collectors here and the team at TCL have done a wonderful job covering the merchandise and providing a place for collectors to come together to show/talk about their collections, too!

Hmm, my three favorite eps would probably be:
The Mountain - even though all the main characters aren’t in it, I thought it was pretty good storywise.
The Thunderscope - Lion-O was almost wiped out. That’s pretty impressive. Hard to choose between this one and The Last Day with the super charged Mumm-Ra.
Exodus - the start of the story, so you gotta love it.

Hmm, favorite non-Tcat or Mutant 3rd Earthers?
Well I guess that means I can pick Mumm-Ra Pretty awesome as villains go and what a great backstory he can be given as we assume he’s an Egyptian mummy.
The warrior maidens as a group are interesting…where are those warrior men?? I actually like Nayda better than Willa though.
Tashe was pretty interesting, especially with the comics’ take that she’s Mumm-Ra’s sister.

Well, those are great picks, but for me we have the following characters:
Grune the Destroyer: He was a former Thundercat, and he was very well known for his path of destruction on the 3th earth. There is something I like, and thats his attitude, very decided kind of person, no matter who he has to confront to get his goal.
Mongor: That was a great character, too bad he was used only ones. Another great all guts villian with interesting powers, the power to create fear in others to make him more powerfull, that was a great new concept.
Willa: I think she was the one that appeared in more episodes, great character with great amount of guts to challege everyone in her path.
Now for the next question:
Who was your top 3 Lunatacs? :liono
Hate to break it to you Purrsia, but in the comics, they make Tashi out to be Aztec, not Eygyptian and not Mumm-ra’s sister. It was in the episode “Doomgaze” where Tashi refers to Mumm-ra as “brother”.
Ugh, I feel so geekish for posting this. I was hoping for someone else to pick up on this. In the comics “Thundercats Origins: Heroes and Villains”, it was after she was dead when Mumm-ra summoned her. She gained her Doomgaze powers from the Ancient Spirits of Evil disguised as Aztec Gods when she was alive.
Queen , I’m talking about the marvel comics. She was said to be his sister in those Fresh in my mind given that I’ve been scanning them. (by contrast, I’m pretty sure the episode leaves out any familial relationship between them). I haven’t touched the wildstorm issues in years and kinda forgot about their take on it though, so thanks for bringing that up. Interesting indeed. Stuff like this is kinda why I like to consider each comic run and the series separate canons.

As for Lunies, I like them in order of Aluro, Chilla and TugMug

Luna was also very interesting as the leader of the gang.
By the way I saw the new video trailer of the new Thundercats, and it looks great. Looking forward to get some of the new figures, as well as watching the new cartoon. :liono:thumbsup:
Lol, I like to call that ep as the one where Larry Kenny’s talking to himself because he’s the voice of both Jackelman & Lion-O.
My other fav is “Eye of the Beholder” because it has some of my favorite quotes.
Those are great choices… I have to check “The Eye of the Beholder” to remember a little bit about it.
