Is there any way to rig up a homemade power ring?
I recently bought a couple vintage Lion-O and Mumm-Ra figure, both complete other than the power rings. Is there any way to get the lights in the eyes to work without the original rings?
I searched high and low thinking this would be a common fix, but found nothing. Any help appreciated!
Curious to know this too cos I had Mumm-Ra when I was a kid and I often wanted to have him standing there with his eyes lit up without the need for me to sit there jabbing him in the back with that power ring. A small watch-battery type of thingy I could even just sellotape to his back would have been nice.
This would make a pretty cool project. I am tempted to try it with one of my old Mumm-ra’s (if I can find the time). I am by no means an electrician, but I would think it could be done without too much trouble. I would like some sort of small switch so that I could just toggle it on/off. Please let us know if you get around to trying this!
Me? I don’t own an original Mumm-Ra anymore and it’s not high on my list (I just far prefer my modified Classic Mumm-Ra). I wouldn’t even know where to begin to create such an item anyways. Am sure there’s gotta be other folks on here who can do that sort of thing though. I think I even saw a Classic Mumm-Ra customised to have light up eyes when the figure didn’t have it to begin with so it must be possible.
