On Jan 23rd, 2015 it will be the 30th anniversary of Exodus airing for the first time.
We’re looking for ideas from the fanbase on activities you’d like to see the site undertake to mark the day.

Yes, January 23rd is “ThunderCats” 30th birthday, so I believe there should be commemorative, newly-remastered versions of the Family Home Entertainment “ThunderCats” VHSes.
Keep in mind that this is a fan site and we don’t have the ability (or the rights) to make blu ray releases lol
Fan art competition.
I wanna see an official fanfic crossover between the 1985 and 2011 universes. 
Our buddy here in the forums Cap’n Cracker and the rest fo the team at the Save the ThunderCats facebook page had an excellent idea for the 30th anniversary.
The idea is to organize a fan campaign to push the imdb.com rating of both ThunderCats shows to “the next level.” Right now both shows have a 7.9 and with a big enough push by the fan community, if we open accounts and give our enthusiastic ratings of our favourite show there’s a good chance we’ll see the show move into an 8.0+ rating which would actually be a really good step in the right direction.
A lot of “top shows” lists basically summarize shows that have a rating over 8.0 so this campaign is a real, tangible thing we can do as a community to elevate the show’s reach over time.

Very interesting. 
I don’t care for the the Idea of “competition” … But I do Like the Idea of some kind of Fan art celebration. ^^
Celebration would be better than competition but I think it would be interesting for everyone to vote for their favourite piece.
Just gave both a 10 on IMDB to support this effort.
I don’t want to be a downer but I can’t really support the IMDB plan. It seems wrong and unfair giving a mark just to improve it’s rating. While I would give the original series a 9 or a 10 rating I just honestly couldn’t give the new series any higher than an 8 being generous. I would probably just give the NS a 6.5-7.5.
But having said that I suppose it wouldn’t be the only show or movie to have its rating boosted by fans.
Then I suggest you only vote for the show you feel most enthused about!

Voted 10 for both, which for me is voting honestly.
Yyyyyeeeah to just vote it a 10 because your a fan seems dishonest from a technical standpoint… But then again rating systems on teh internets seem silly in general. Love for a thing isn’t based on “rules” after all. There is a certain poetry to sending our good ratings to IMDB on the 30th as memorium… Because the number itself means nothing. If you want folks to watch it give it a 10 if ye don’t give it a 1. A number can’t qualify anything it’s a public pole.
Haven’t posted on these forums since the cancellation of the 2011 show, but I have to chime in on this one. If He-Man can get remastered DVD transfers, there is no excuse ThunderCats couldn’t. I’m holding off on buying the older sets, cause I really would love to see the ThunderCats get remastered video. How is the video quality of the older sets? I have some of the older TMNT DVDS and the video on some of those episodes look worse than they did when they originally shown back in the 80’s on TV!
ThunderCats is like my favorite show of all time, grew up with that show, I’m hoping WB shows them some love, please?
