I just got back from seeing PotC2: Dead Man’s Chest and I really enjoyed it. I went in with the reviews fresh in mind (the critics are really trashing it) and was prepared to be underwhelmed. I was pleasantly surprised by the film and would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the first. Clocking in at two and a half hours it is a little lengthy though. Anyone else see it?

Ok I saw it last night and it was a good movie. Didn’t laugh as much as in the first one, but it was still good. Really liked the special effects they had. And Johnny Depp is just hilarious! I recommend it too, but don’t make the same mistake that I made and watch it from the 2nd row…ahhh, my neck still hurts 8)

I am really quite useless on these movie talkback threads because I never get to see movies in the cinema. But I have seen multiple clips of this film and I think that once again Johnny Depp is going to have a number of hilarious lines. I really would like to get to see this

saw it again for the second time tonight. great movie! a little different from what i was expecting especially with the cliffhanger ending. but that just makes it a guarentee that theres going to be a part 3. i liked how the movie’s tone was quite a bit darker than the orignial, ltho i cant decide which of the two i liek better as i liek them each for different reasons. i think anyone disappointed with this latest installemnt and i know there are quite a few out there, should still check out the third one as the story then comes full circle. the first was a stand alone where as 2 and 3 need eachother.
some spoilers for the upcoming movie, include tia dalma being the woman the davy jones is heart broken over but other reports state she might be capn jack’s love interest as well so we’ll see what happens with that. speaking of tia dalma, shes going to be heavily involved in the hourney to the end fo the world with the others to find jack. there are rumors that the place they go to will actually be some sort of hell because techinally sparrow is now dead. itll be interesting to see barbosa’s and jack’s interaction and how jones will respond to them both. also, bootstrap bill will play a bigger role and may have some type of showdown with norrigton.
if anyone still hasnt seen it i defeinitely encourage u to do so. maybe even watch the dvd before u see it incase u need a refresher.
