I seem to remember reading about a Panthro cameo in the background of another anime series (this was several years ago, way before the 2011 series.)
Anyone else remember this? I’ve never been able to find it online.

How about Pantrho’s four armed, red eyed look alike that appeared in He-Man & The Masters of the Universe episode “Pawns of the Game Master”?
That doesn’t look like Panthro, but it’s a darn near-perfect design of him.
