So how do you guys think the new Third Earth is shaping up alongside the old one?
Are the current locations we have seen in the episodes all in one country? One continent?
Are there any old places you’d like to see make a comeback? Are there others that should be shoved into a box labelled corny as hell and hurled into the great void?
I highly doubt that’s the whole planet. Rather just a map where “the show takes place” on third earth, also this is no where near to scale.
The OS Third Earth was our Earth, so that map is only a small part of it.
As for the new Third Earth they’re still on the same continent. Without a doubt. They haven’t been on any water ships (unless you count the one in the Ramlak, and I don’t because that was still technically on land) nor have they been on any flying vehicles.
As for how big it is we don’t really know. But they’ve traveled pretty far (I assume).
All of it.
There need to be several OS Third Earth locations on the new series.
I know its not to scale! But the map showed all the main areas they visited in the show, yet it seemed like only one very small continent? Even if all the continents had come together in one great supercontinent, you’d expect a lot more in there.

I agree they’ll be on the same continent, so that poses the question what about other continents? What is there? Will they visit them? Will they encounter the berserkers at sea? (And I don’t count that whole sea of sand thing either! They should have dropped that episode at the planning stage!)

I’d like to see the unicorns make a reappearance. They were cute, and it was funny to see giant muscular glam-rock inspired catlike superheroes happily frolicking with them.
I think unicorns were pretty much the 80s fantasy go to animal weren’t they? I think they’d look out of place in the NS, I mean look at the animals that Kit and Kat were hunting a couple of episodes ago, I think those type of creatures are the ‘new’ unicorns. Although part of me does miss the 80s glam rock superhero era! lol!
I thought this new Third Earth is pretty much our Earth as well. Actually, to me; that makes the entire world more interesting.
Maybe now instead of Unicorn Keeper’s we’ll have Chib-Chib Keepers.

That map is from earlier in the series, pre-Thundercats Ho! There is no DarkSide on it, and that was a pretty prominent location in the later episodes of the OS. There’s also no white pyramid for Mumm-Rana, no desert of lava geysers, and no baleful swamp (although that switched planets… but let’s not break our brains over that plothole!) on that map, either.
One thing is for sure, The NS Third Earth is vast and huge, it contains the Kingdom of Thundera as well as Kingdoms of other clans.The old one had unchartred teritories too but i belive the New is immense.

Oh yeah, good point! I do remember having this map with the comics when I was a kid, and it was pretty early on.

True. I’ve always got a much grander sense of scale from the NS world. I’d love for them to do some sort of comparison map or something, I mean the thought and skill that has gone into building this world is above and beyond what the originals was. Not that I’m saying anything bad about the OS of course!
