Years ago my friends got the Thundercats toys but my parents couldn’t afford them plus Star Wars figures back then were under a pound but I always wanted some Thundercats. Now we have the old classics and the brand new range with classics line what does anyone recommend I try to get?
So far I’ve got the two 8" Classics (Lion-O and Tigra) and the three 6" modern characters (Lion-O, Panthro and Mumm-Ra), and I’ve been impressed with all of them. Well articulated, pretty damn accurate sculpts and a good array of accessories.
You might wanna hang fire on the 8" Classics until we know what’s going on with them, or indeed just grab the 6" Classics when you see them, and then continue from there. Grabbing the new figures depends on whether you like the designs from the new show or not, I guess.
Not overly keen on kit and kat’s look but the other’s look good I hope they bring out more evil characters too. I was just thinking the 80’s range could get hard to find at decent prices much like TransFormers from Generation One.
I recommend the 8 inch classic Lion-O regardless of what Bandai are gonna do with the classics line. Both 6 inch Mumm-Ras are excellent figures too. Of course I’m more of a 4 inch collector but the 6 inch line is cool too.
The new range are in my toystore we had Lion-o, tygra, Mumm-ra, Grune, Mumm-ra the Everliving, the Lizard cannon and Lion-o with a Tower of Omens action set. So I got Tygra as he was always my favourite character. It looks like I will be getting the new figures rather than any classics.
