Old custom box art found

I was going through some old paperwork stuff from my first college and I found the prints I did for a custom boxed set back in like the summer of 1998. This was before I had access to all of the crazy digital editing stuff we do today, so everything was done by cutting out logos and glueing them on a board, then color copying the board. A set of the art is nine pages, which I probably paid $1.50 each page for when I made them…so like $15 a set. By today’s standard they aren’t what they should be, and I am embarassed to offer them given the low quality from the time and what I would do with the same project today…however, I thought there might be people who would want a set. I have a total of four sets. I thought I would keep one for myself, but if there is interest, I would probably be willing to part with the one I was going to keep for myself. I am thinking neil wants a set since I have some other custom figure items for him. That leaves two (perhaps three) sets. Here are some images that show you what a set would look like put together:

I obviously don’t have custom figures made to sell (if I did, I would consutrct the boxes and sell them with figures). I also don’t have boxes…you’d need to get cardboard and construct them, or find a box that is the right size and wrap the art around it. They are on laser copier paper that is peel and stick. The completed box is the size of one of the usps priority boxes, but I am not sure which one. You can’t legally use the USPS box for anything other than mailing stuff…but eight years ago, I didn’t care.

Here is what the look like now before being put together:

Again, from my self-criticizing eye, the art sucks, the line work is terrible…if I was to re-do the set today it would look a hell of alot different…but I will never end up re-doing it.

I don’t want to spend money to get rid of these. If I could get something for them, that would be great. I don’t have too much free time, but I want to see them go to people who want them. I tried to give them to the guy who now owns the only set I finished (the one in the pictures above), but I never heard back from him on it. I am moving in a month and I need to clear out some stuff. If you’re interested, please let me know.

Cool stuff. Replied to your PM

If I make one of these up, I might display my Pumyra, Bengali and Lynx-o figures inside it
