Sorry if this is old news, but I found an article (link at bottom) from Kastor’s Korner with some info they got from the Bandai folks at SDCC.
It looks like the 8" Classics line may see the entire 6 member team completed by the end of 2012.
The 4" line will get more figures by the end of this year. Mutants and maybe characters who died in the first episode (Claudus perhaps?)

Then that means I got to hurry up and buy all that’s currently out. Since some figures will probly be discontinued in favor of the newer ones.
And I’m hoping it’s Claudus. 
Yeah, I’m not sure how Bandai does things, but Hasbro usually carries over some of the previous wave in revision cases with the new stuff.
I can’t wait, tho. It’s so cool, I want more stuff now! 
Since I got the whole line in one go as soon as they showed up in my local TRU, I’m eager for more new TC stuff.
I hope the 8" classics goes beyond the original 6 Thundercats. I also want Pumyra, Bengali and Lynx-O as well as snarf, Mumm-Ra (both forms) and the main mutants (Slythe, jackleman and monkian). Anything less than that and I will consider it a waste of money for investing in that particular line. Still, beyond those essentials, I’d happily buy any other characters from the original series as well.
For the next wave of 4" figures, I want Claudis, Jaga, Lynxo and slythe at least.
For the next batch of 6" figures I hope to see Tygra, Cheetara and the kittens.
Expanding into other catergories such as bases or vehicles for the classics is what caught my eye. To have a “classic” Thundertank again would be awesome!
It would definitely make up for mine that was tossed when I was about thirteen. It still had the treads too.
A more show accurate original T-Tank would be epic and sell out in a heart beat. X3
Bandai does it too. But it’s been so long I’ve followed their toys by “waves”.
thats an announcement that i would like to have sooner rather than later, as the knowledge of a classic Thundertank would likely cause me to skip the modern Thundertank altogether
The expanding of Classics into other catagories made me think we might get a 4" Classic T-Cats line. Then I’ll have to sign my paycheck over to Bandai…
I really find it disapointing that the classics figures will always be 2 per wave with only 2 waves a year.
4 figures a year? Seriously?
Please bandai, take my money. My wallet is wide open for you. Just make more product and you can have all the money you want.
I feel you but it’s ok I hope they atleast Short Print them to an extent…instead of producing them for 6 months.
I think they should aim for 2 figures each quarter with the Classics line in 2012.
I’m not going to sugarcoat it, Bandai can take my money also. I’ll hand it over, the classics line is amazing in every way. The new series toys are equally awesome but in different ways. I can’t find a single grievance with any of the new products.
2 figures per 3 months would make much more sense…
Honestly, why is there no Claudis/Claudus Action Figure für the new series?
Great news, I can’t wait to get the entire Classics line.
They can only put out so many in a wave and it wouldn’t make sense to take up one of those slots with a character that died in the second episode. Hopefully we’ll see one, though. Claudus was a badass.

Great news…cant wait to see what mutants we will be getting at the end of this year. Slythe for sure…hopefully both Monkian and Jackleman too at least. I think this also hints at Cladus and Jaga figures…more great news!! Hopefully Lynx-O is made sometime soon too. I think those six would make a great second series of 4" figures. Not sure if there will be that many new characters included though.
