Call a TRU first before going hunting. I don’t think the figures hit till the next weeks tuesday.
Also call to see when your local TRU gets their trucks in (Fayetteville NC gets a truck Tuesday and Friday).
And, great. Kmart told me they cancelled the order and then that they couldn’t. Who knows what I’m going to get. If I end up with 2 (or 3?!) of the same figure, I can just return the extras. I’ll probably make them available to folks on here first that haven’t found them yet, though, since going to Kmart is about a 2 hour drive one way for me.
I just got a cancellation notice from Crap-Mart as well. Then I called and gave them crap over charging me, then waiting several days for the refund to go thru. So now I’m out $50 possibly till next week. I also gave them crap for their stupid ordering system. They can’t do what so many other stores can do. Pathetic! I should have known. K-Mart…heh, what clown shoes.
And although I want to collect this line, I’m defiantly not paying the crazy Amazon.com prices for them. $30 for a 6" figure? This is not MOTUC!
People just wait for TRU to get them in. As someone mentioned, find the days your local TRU’s get their trucks in. And talk to emplyees to check the system for arrival dates.
Sounds like a good idea…if you can speak to someone who is functionally intelligent. I’ve been going to TRU for 25 years, and the vast majority of workers DON’T KNOW JACK! Sure there are always exceptions to the rule, but I haven’t had much luck getting a straight (or truthful) answer in a quarter of a century.
What I want to know is if the Cats were ever available on the TRU website.
I get ya, before I used to work for them it was hell getting information. I go back to work tomorrow, so I’ll probly come back with some update. But I can’t check specific stores.
I am fairly sure I saw a few available at one point. But the SDCC EX Lion-O was available and my order arrived last week. So I can confirm at least that one was available
Well, I called two stores today and inquired about their truck schedule. I will take them on their word with the stocking dates, but I will feel safer if I go there to confirm what’s there.
Aside from the exclusive and a mutant tank, I haven’t seen any other toys being listed as in-stock. I would hate to think that we could have had a chance at ordering them at one point while we were all waiting around.
I think these toys will be easy to pick up. If your against ordering online, then I’m certain you will find them in your local stores at some point. I think it’s down to how patient you can be to wait.
hmm, Amazon is missing a lot of listing now. They don’t have the 6" Lion-O or Mumm-ra figures even listed anymore; usually they’ll still come up in the search even if they’re out of stock. The Deluxe Sword of Omens is gone too.
I wish I lived anywhere close to any store that would be carrying these, but we’re a solid 2 hours from a Wal-Mart, K-Mart, or Target, and TRU is about 8 hours away.
2 hours from a Wal-Mart? :o You must really be out in the sticks then! Also driving around between stores might make it as expensive as ordering online… guess it depends how much you want them and what you want.
In my opinion (and I could be wrong)…but I have a feeling the hard to find figures will end up being the Thunderkittens. I do think folks will snap them up (especially kids) based on their appearance in the cartoon 
Toys R Us says only available in stores, but the local one I checked today hadn’t heard anything about them. 
Yeah, we’re in a town of 3000 and it’s the biggest city for 100 miles in any direction. The Dakotas are a sparse place!

That would be because we’re due to start layout changes in August.
Did you ask any of the employees on the sales floor? To deal with this guys one has to be persistent. Don’t expect for them to do everyting for you. It’s the probem with parents on the Christmas season. We have a lot to deal with, just be persistent and it’s almost guarantee you’ll get what you’re looking for. Talk to different employees, though never the ones on the customer service desk (they tend to be the most ignorant DX) unless you wish to speak to a manager. I also speak from expirience before working at TRU and toy hunting at Walmart.
My store has nothing coming next on week’s shipment. And I can’t even check the skn’s on the inventory because the server is not connecting to the internet and I can’t take the UPC’s/skn’s from there. I have work again Thursday, so I’ll just take the numbers with me. -.-’

I think some people have lost their minds on ebay… asking 50 dollars for the 6 inch Lion-O! They might be a little tough to get at first but jeesh, thats a bit much, huh.
Patience is a virtue. A co-worker was considering on ordering from Amazon, and I told him wait for them to come here. They’ll come, just be patient. Eventually retail will have them in abundance (atleast TRU). Believe me, the wait will be worthit.
