I saw the post on He-Man.org about the new series. I’ve known that something has been in the works for awhile, but I haven’t been able to say anything. I’ve contacted my source to see if he can confirm or deny any of this information and if there will be any more information forthcoming. Hopefully, there will be an official response soon.

Based on a couple of comments you made some while ago, I did wonder whether you knew something, Manny - that’s great to know! It would be cool if our site was one of the first to reveal new information about the forthcoming new series!

Well you know that I’m the biggest skeptic there is and I wouldn’t rush into posting this kind of news on the front of the site haphazardly.
I can 100% confirm that the Brand Licensing show did take place this past week and Warner Bros were definately there.
The person who posted on he-man.org has been posting there for a while. I know them from posting in the UK toy sightings thread (whoa, if new toys happen, we can have a Toy sightings forum! :cheetaraveryhappy: ) sorry back to topic in hand…
So I’m pretty sure that what they said is true as it’s not really something I think they would lie about
I think that it’s likely WB will unveil plans for the new toys in february next year, at the New York toy show.
Hopefully we will get a press release soon, with the new character designs and an official synopsis or overview of the new series.
I dont mean to sound negative or anything but I will believe it when i see it. My hopes are always there but I’ve come to learn to not get overly excited about news like this. We all thought Thundercats was going to debut in the new CW network sometime in 2006 and what happened…nothing.
I’m just as skeptical as everyone else about news coming out…I do however know that at the very least, a cartoon has been in development. I know nothing about new toys, but a cartoon is coming…when, I’m not sure, but something is coming. I said it in that article I wrote when the site launched, and I’m sticking to my guns.
Well I didn’t Manny The possibility crossed my mind yes, but I wasn’t thinking I can’t wait to see Thundercats when they release details of their schedule.
I think this is different as it’s more official as it’s from the horses mouth so to speak. As for Toys, I agree nothing was mentioned, but I can’t see a cartoon coming to air without some merchandise to go along with it.
I’m pretty sure we are gonna get a new cartoon and toys. I think the question now is what will they be like?
Just a thought – I think it would be best that whoever posted the news about this series on the front page should edit it and add “rumor” to the title. This was not an official confirmation from WB and while we have no reason not to believe it would not be real, posting this information as news is not a good idea until we’ve got official confirmation.

I posted the news on the front page. I think the news is a little bit more than a rumour, so I don’t think it would be a good idea to include that word as I don’t think it fits. Now if it was hearsay about a new series being announced at an upcoming event then that would be a ‘rumour’
A new Thundercats series was announced by Warner Bros at a public event. I made an executive decision to post the news to the front page and I stand by that decision. I still think it was the right thing to do and I’m not gonna change it. I think changing it now at this point in time would do more harm than good to be honest.
I understand, but it’s not official by any means. The event happened, but if anything was said, don’t you think we would have heard about it from more than one person? I consider it hearsay because it came from a random person and we have not heard anything else since then. But I’ll stand by your decision.
Remember we are talking about a UK event here (not US) for mostly industry people. Nearly all of those probably saw Thundercats as another new kids brand to look out for next year and nothing more. Very few (if any) of them would get excited and post on the internet about it.
Sadly, most of news sites that cover this sort of thing seem to be subscription only 
so it’s difficult to get an official overview of all that happened at the event.
If the news does turn out false I will take all the blame for posting it on the front page.
