I was really hoping to have Claudus send up the battle cry once just to hear Larry do it one last time, but it would make sense that Lion-O would be the first one in a while to actually make use of that awesome power.
I’m very excited to see what actually comes of it!

His impressionable father, Claudus, among others, constantly berates him in that he doesn’t take his duties as Prince of Thundera seriously.
He wants to become a merciful ruler, believe it or not, but it’s evident that his selective empathy is going to generate some serious hurdles moving forward. Lion-O’s father detests such lethargy and favors ruling with an iron fist.
AHA! I was right in that sword fight between Lion-O and Claudus, that Claudus seemed a little too harsh and intense towards Lion-O.
Also their description of Lion-O makes me think of young Anakin Skywalker. Uh-oh… 
Considering she’s an apprentice of Jaga, I’m inclined to speculate she bears particular historical knowledge of the Sword of Omens (and the missing Book of Omens).
The Hermione Granger of ThunderCats! If so, that means she doesn’t end up with Harry (Lion-O) but Ron (Tygra).

About Panthro, on that Thundercats animated blog site they have a Bio for Grune that says,

So Grune and Panthro were former best friends (like Grune and Jaga were in the OS) and Grune betrays him.

Panthro the oldest of the ThunderCats? I hope that just means the oldest of their small band and what about Lynx-O? It would be too weird for Panthro to be older than Lynx-O.
I don’t really like the idea of Panthro with a chip on his shoulder like that. I liked the easy going old Panthro. It is a weird dynamic to pair Grune up with Panthro instead of Jaga.
They make Grune sound like Saruman and Mumm-Ra like Sauron.
I can just hear Jaga telling Grune, “There is only one lord of the ring, and he does not share power!”
