Here’s a little experiment I did that I think fans of both versions of ThunderCats will enjoy. I took some tracks from the classic series soundtrack and played them alongside some clips from the new series. It’s nothing special, just something done for fun that didn’t take much effort. I’m surprised at how well some of the tracks went with the clips.

Awesome job! Personally I prefer the modern music in the more action-heavy scenes, but that’s me. It worked especially well with the more humorous bits though.
You break my heart Gold Lion. I miss that music so much. Those clips almost felt like the old Thundercats.
I wonder if Jaga’s theme would’ve fit with the end of Trials part 2.
I would like to see Cheetara running with her os music and the thundertank with it os music
ditto to that. And Panthro with his theme. Though I don’t know if Cheetara really runs often enough in the NS. Maybe during the trials or during that race before they met the elephants…

I might just make a few vids myself. I have most of the sound clips on my computer.
I loved it, but my only complaint is that the background music drowned out some of the dialogue, but that’s just the video editor in me, talking.
This is an interesting approach. Perhaps when the first twenty-six episodes are done, someone could do a ThunderCats Abridged parody, using the original soundtrack.

Thanks for all the compliments and suggestions. I would like to do more like this, so I will probably do some suggested. I can’t decide if I want to do full length music videos with the old character themes or just short ones in a compilation, but I’ll experiment. The Thunder Kittens theme is really short, so I might just start with short segments anyway.
And yes, I know the music drowns out the dialogue, but I don’t want the background music from the clips interfering with the classic bgm. It just bugs me hearing two music tracks playing on top of each other.
One more thing, someone else did something similar a couple of weeks ago, except they used one long clip and multiple music tracks. It should be one of the related vids on the youtube page. It was pretty good, check that one out too.

the second and third themes worked pretty well
so far u have played a couple of my fave music themes though the first one was never a fave
i also like to see some from the second season used, there were plenty there that to me were better
thanks so far as it defenitly makes it so much better to watch:D
The first theme in particular didn’t work for me. I loved the rest though.
IMO the first theme actually made that scene look more like they were teasing Lion-O than just being jerks. I mean I know they were just teasing Lion-O but it didn’t completely come off that way to me the original way it was presented in the show.
The soundtrack I have doesn’t seem to have any tracks from the second season. Shame, but at least Martin Barreby recomposed some of those songs, so maybe I can use those, with all credits due of course.
I’m going to start doing the TCats old themes and see what works. Probably have something soon, and without that annoying letter boxing this time.
