I got into ThunderCats when the new series came out. Just started watching the original and am already enjoying that.
As for my crazy plan I recently started a campaign to bring back the 2011 series for the season two already planned out. You can learn a bit more on our Facebook page but we’re doing things differently than earlier attempts (like creating a network on various sites and overall being more organized). Plus, unlike previous efforts, our first goal is to gather more people than ever so our actions will be louder than ever.
I wish you luck with it but unless you can show them people are willing to invest money in the franchise again they wont listen. The situation with WB and Thundercats fans reminds me of the saying, ‘‘If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound’’.
Welcome newbie… And this hole deal, Mark dollface, reminds me of the saying “if you want something done right, do it yourself” (did anyone do a fanfic continuation? I am quite curious). Someone pull a Little Koriboh!
I hear ya, doctor! But seems rather unlikely that WB will bring back the new thundercats. Very rarely do these big studios try to revive any property which has incurred them losses.
I agree with that but the best action would be something that would show them the fans will support a second season/movie/reboot financially.
There is currently a Kickstarter campaign set up by Harmony Gold to raise enough funds for a new series of Robotech, called Robotech: Academy.
Last time I checked they were near $188,000 of the $500,000 needed. With 10 days to go it looks very doubtful. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1381502542/robotech-academy
Robotech though has nowhere near the fan base that Thundercats has.
But unless WB set up an official campaign I doubt many fans would hand over any cash.
