That’s right, Frank Herbert’s masterpiece of Science Fiction and fantasy is gonna get another chance on the big screen from Paramount. Hopefully it will be a LOTR style 3 part movie on the first book and be true to Herbert’s vision and avoid being like that 1984 David Lynch abortion of an adaptation.
Awesome! I mean, I like the 1984 version, but the book is a way more detailed and better story. Going to be hard to top the production design of the '84 for me, honestly. There was just a great aesthetic back then. Look at ThunderCats even–nothing today comes close (including what we’ve seen of the new ThunderCats so far, and I like the new designs).
