I must admit that when I saw the first “leaked” pictures of the basic four cats I was a little surprised. While the new looks are growing on me a bit, one thing that still worries me is that Panthro looks so much different… not only the old Panthro vs. the new, but also the new Panthro vs. the new other cats.

He looks nearly twice the size of the other cats. Now, I suspect that part of the reason is that Panthro is “standing” higher up than the other cats so that you can see more of him in the picture. But even when you consider that, look at the size of his arms. His upper arm is WIDER than Cheetara’s whole body! Just the last joint of his index finger on his left hand looks about the as long as it is from Liono’s hair line to the tip of his nose.
I certainly hope that this is just a “promo” type poster and this isn’t supposed to be to scale. What leads to some hope is this picture: http://i55.tinypic.com/2ewhe1j.jpg
As you can see from the toys there, Panthro is bigger, but not HUGELY bigger. He’s got maybe a head on Cheetara and maybe half a head on the two boys. He also is much more muscular than the other cats, but not so much that his arm is bigger than someone else’s body. I could easily deal with the differences in the toys. If the picture is to scale, I’m going to be disappointed.
I like the new Cheetara and Tygra but Lion-O and Panthro, I’m just not feeling…Panthro looks like a freaky old man and Lion-O looks like he should be chillin’ with Gokou.
If you think about it, that’s actually a good change for Panthro. In the old show you could never physically tell that Panthro was supposed to be the power house of the group because he more or less was virtually no more muscular than either Lion-O or Tygra.
This makes it a very clear distinction who the muscle is of the group.
But that’s the only positive change they made. Now he’s got spiked gloves (with fur coming out of them? What’d he shave everything but his forearms??), the skullet, and one bad eye. He basically looks like an old bar fighter that got in one too many scrums.
Oh, I don’t mind that he’s physically more imposing. The toys show appropriate sizes in my opinion. But the other picture just has Panthro SO much bigger. If you assume that the other cats are around 6 foot, Panthro looks like he’s 9 foot with a 4 foot circumference on his arms.
I agree here, these are the 1st proper images I’ve seen of the new cats, but tygra and cheetara look reasonable, lion-o (If thats the full adult version of him) puny and childish, and panthro looks obscenely different! lol.

Hang on…Is that a fricking GUN in Tygra’s hand?? WTF!! I’ve just seen another image of him with both Bolo Whip AND the gun, glad the original weapon is there but WB better not be putting crappy hand held laser guns in their hands and expecting that to wash!!
