Not that simple. Remember that we are fans that WANT to fall in love with this line and collect it. We point out its shortcommings well in advance of the figures’ production so there’s time to make adjustments.
If Mattel valued customers like us, they would listen.
No one has any problems with people pointing out things they aren’t happy with. The problem is people who don’t have these issues with the toys having to hear the same thing over and over from the same person.
We get it. You have a problem with the toy. The first time to hear it is a good chance to talk it over and hear people’s opinions on it. The second shows it’s something that really bothers you. Third, fourth, fifth…? This isn’t Mattel here. No one here can fix the problem you’re having here. And it also sounds like no one really has the same problems and wants to change much here.
The toy looks like it does. If nothing is changed between now and release, will we still have to hear the same things again and again?
Really there should be a thread to discuss or argue about things they want changed. And the people who are happy with the toy as is should keep away from it, just like people who have problems with the toy should keep away from the positive thread.
Continue moping then. I hope you’ll find something you like during the lines run.

I’m just really looking forward to all of them. But if I have to choose out of the 5, I’d have to say Mumm-Ra and Pumyra.
I get what some folks said about Jackalman maybe being too bulky rather than stringy, but it doesnt really bother me at all.
I think I’m in the minority here in that I’ll be using these figures for play in the future rather than display. So again I might be in the minority here, but I really don’t have a problem with getting 1 off characters. I’d love to have toys of Demolisher, etc. In fact I want them ALL!
That’s why the price put me off at first. $30usd was too much for a toy that I will use for play with my future kids. $25 is money well spent to complete something I missed out on during childhood. The only thing that is a downer about it for me is I cant go into a toy shop and take them off the pegs/shelves like I missed out on as a child.

I must say that I am glad that I subbed for this line. I see that the Filmtation he-man was sold out quickly and that the prices for the figure doubled on ebay.
I think and i may be wrong but i have a feeling the same thing could happen here. Thinking to cherry pick may be costly in the long run or you may not get the figure.
A lot of people complained about the ankles but it still sold out. I do know that the fanbase is a lot larger than TC. There are complaints about TC and i think in the end it wont matter. People will still buy it.

I think that Jackalman looks really great!!!The sketch is not so great, nor did I like the Pumyra sketch (her face looked too human and not cartoonish) but the figures themselves are great. Did anybody notice the background of the prototypes’ images? I see portions of Mumm-Ra’s snake logo in there!

I wonder why they chose him as the first mutant? Perhaps to still build up some expectation for 2017’s line. I would love to have Slithe as the next mutant, but then again, maybe he might get pushed back to 2018. Perhaps Monkian or Vultureman might be next? I doubt they’ll release a mutant as the exclusive at SDCC.

The only thing i wish is that it was in stores. Being able to grab a figure from the shelves is exciting. But then again waiting for a package is as well.
Sebastiaan I hope that they dont wait until 2018 to release Tygra. Im waiting for a Bengali & Tygra and think i will go nuts waiting for 2 years.

When I first saw the Bandai Classics in store it took me right back to 1986 when I bought my first TC figure. I was over the moon. It would have been awesome to see it in store, but agreed, it is also super exciting waiting for a package. How times have changed!
I hear what you’re saying though about waiting until 2018 for Tygra. But I think if they stretch out the line for 2 or 3 more years, they’d probably hold back either him or Cheetara to get people to renew their subs again. I really just hope we get them all by the end of 2018. I’m in it for the long haul.

That is his second cloak. It’ll come with Mumm-Ra IF the budget allows it. It’s meant for a mid-transformation/ summoning-kinda pose, with his arms out and his cloak billowing.

Also I just noticed the bandaged that hang from his hood are removable? There on the table next to Mumm-Ra.

They really should just do a cloth cloak for Mumm-Ra.

Were there any MOTUCs that had cloth capes or cloaks?
Sadly no, but none of them had a cloak design like Mumm-Ra’s. I think a cloth one would look and function a lot better.

It’s possible, but won’t it look off in comparison to the others? I really like the look of it now. I would have liked it to be the same type of plastic they used on the 2011 series’ Mumm-Ra. That was lovely.
Some things are just better done with cloth others with PVC. Most of the standard capes in MOTUC were fine. But Preternia He-Man’s robe was made of PVC it turned out awful making him far to bulky and wide. Same with Eldor’s hood. Having said that, in the Star Wars Black 6" line, Hasbro have made good cloth accessories for some figures but the Emperors robe did not look as good.
