This mattel line looks great, I am super excited to get these toys into my collection. Sure some of the figures will have odd imperfections that I would want them to fix, but I am just glad to get some new thundercats toys from a great toy company. I hope they make every character the cartoon ever featured and I will buy every single one, from the wolos to the cats lair. The mezco tygra preorder images look great too and I think this is going to be a great year for all thundercats fans. One thing we should not forget is the people from mattel read this site and the more positive comments we have the more we can expect from this line.
Dose anyone have any photos from NY toy fair yet? You know they will show prototypes of jaga and grune to tease all of us.

These figures will never look accurate as long as they use the MOTUC buck, sadly.

Another point that companies have failed to see, and I know this is serious nit-picking… is the anatomy of the characters in the show. They don’t quite have traditional superhero musculature. Take a look at Lion-O’s “quads”:

One more thing… you know how the Horsemen gave Flipshot the likeness of Val Kilmer? It would have been nice if they had been inspired by Mel Gibson for Lion-O’s headsculpt. Butt-chin aside, I always thought they looked identical to each other XD

I agree, having Lion-O, Tygra, Panthro, Jaga, Bengali, Lynxo, Jakalman and Grune all having the same basic physique will be odd looking. I suppose they could say they were trying to capture the Ed McGuiness art style from the 2003 comics. 
Yeah the Lion-O head sculpt is really off looking. I the biggest problem is the odd shape of the hair.
Looking at the images from Toy Fair 2016 and all I can say is Mattel has a lot of work to do if they hope to top Hasbro, NECA and DC Collectibles. :biggrin
The Mumm-Ra drawing on MattyCollector’s facebook page is really cool. It’s Sunday - what time is Mattel’s announcement??? Can hardly wait anymore. The photo I’ve seen of the Mezco Tygra and Lion-O with Snarf combo is really cool!!!

Some really nice figures shown so far. Stand outs for me were SW Black series Darth Reven and Kanan and that amazing NECA 1/4 scale movie TMNT Donatello. Ooof that Figure was amazing. Scary thing is NECA has similar QC issues as Mattel does. I bought the first couple of waves of the DC Icons and I have to say the sculpts are nice but they are shorty’s. Just over 5" tall across the board. Talk about all the T-cats being similar sizes ( which I don’t think will be the case) the DC figures are all the same size.
The DC Icons look nice, there seems to bit a bit of variety in height amongst them. Like Black Adam is larger than Batman etc. Seen Batman in a local shop. Was tempted to get him but he would look to short next to my Marvel Legends. I prefer the normal DC Direct/Collectibles figures. Just have to make do with my DCUC Batman.
The Animated Batman line though looks absolutely amazing. Proves Mattel wrong about taking old properties to mass retail. 
Releasing the 2’ Batmobile was awesome but to now be releasing a near 3’ Batwing is amazing. :biggrin
The Marvel Legends were also really good.
And Trandformers. Fortress Maximus and Trypticon, need I say more…
Some of the NECA stuff is really nice, especially the Video Game and Rocky stuff. I like the Donatello 1/4 scale but I wouldn’t have space for 4x of them.
I will say though I don’t own any NECA figures at present. I owned 8x figures from them and 4/8 either broke or had QC problems.
BTW what is the QC on your DC Icons like?
Didn’t see Trypticon but Fort max looks amazing. Loving the Titans return stuff going on with the throwbacks to the Headmasters and Powermasters. Hasbro finally learns to make fan demanded characters and utilize the G1 designs. The 3rd party was crushing them for a while. That’s another thing to keep in mind we could get some toon accurate T-cats from a 3rd party company down the line. Only problem is that they would be triple the price of Mattel’s. As for DC Icons Black Adam and Batman are the same height, I have them both. BA has a little more bulk on the buck but every figure in this line is virtually the same height. Animated Batman on the other hand are really well done, beautiful figures.
