Panthro’s mouth seems a bit too wide.
Panthro’s nunchuck chain need to be a real functioning chain.
Pumyra’s neck looks too long.
I don’t think the wide torso is a problem for Panthro, but it will be interesting to see how it works for Tygra and Bengali. I have always said that Mattel should have made use of some of their other body bucks from DCUC and WWE etc so they don’t all look exactly the same.
I think we need to see more photo’s before we start to judge them, these photo’s doesn’t look like the best quality and they sometimes look different from a slightly different angle.
I am going to reserve my judgement for NYTF photo’s.
(…but, they look good so far)

Figures Look awesome…sure there are always little things that can be improved here and there…but they both look great…cant wait to get these …multiple of each…cant thank MATTEL enough doing this line…I hope all TC fans support it so that we can get all the characters in the series…I will die a happy man if they make Berserkers and Lunatacs!

I think that’s exactly what the issue is. Panthro’s head looks more in line with the original Lion-O face sculpt than the current one. It doesn’t look bad exactly, it just seems like it could be improved. I also think the head is a little too big.
Though looking at it side by side with your Cartoon screen shot it does look very cartoon accurate. But the cartoon’s face is a tad bit wider than the figure’s.
I think Pumyra looks great. My only nitpick is her mouth looks like a grimace, and I also think her lips could do with some color (though her lip color in the show was very faint, so maybe it’s just the lighting in the picture. I also think her eyebrows aren’t quite cartoon accurate. They seem to be a straight curve, when in the cartoon they pointed up at the apex.
Neither of them is as bad as the original Lion-O prototype and despite my nitpicks I’d be happy with both of them as is.
Hi guys, first time post on this forum so please go easy I’m UK based and have never signed up to these subscription based collections before. I’ve read many comments on here regarding shipping costs to the UK but am yet to find any comments re import/customs fees for anyone previously using these type of subs. Can anyone who has previously signed up to MOTU subs give me an idea of the fees you have previously paid on top of the initial figure cost + p&p? I note the sub can be paid monthly or quarterly. I appreciate quarterly may be better for cost effectiveness but if I purchase one figure monthly does anyone know whether I would dodge the previously mentioned import/customs fees? Any help would be gratefully accepted. Thanks
I think you’re absolutely right about the lighting. Why is it lit so strongly from above the way it is? We can’t get a good idea of what the face looks like with lighting like that. Shadows are all weird. If we’re lucky, maybe there will be prototypes on display at Toy Fair. Hopefully at least some updated/better pictures.

They look pretty good. I’ll need to wait for TF before I can say 100%. Need high res, not washed out, photos before I can really judge. These also look cut out and pasted on a white background in PS. Just poor images all around.
This was such a pleasant surprise this morning, I think they look amazing. Pumyra’s mouth looks a bit serious, and Panthro’s face/head does seem a bit off, but I will reserve judgment until TF. Don’t go by the colors in these picks, they always look washed out/lighter. Mattel has been listening to feedback, like with Lion-O, so I’m sure they will try to make us as happy as possible with the final product.
I’m really surprised by the open hand Pumyra has, not many MOTU females got them..I love her cat’s tail with the little balls in it too, great attention to detail!
I hope they go with a slit up the sides of the skirt like they did on She-ra for the leg articulation to not be hindered. One of my most wanted figures so early and done so well. Very excited…bring on Chilla!
Can’t say I’m crazy about them. And knowing Mattel they will likely all be the same height.

Ya, I am really liking the way they are turning out so far. Chilla should be epic! My daughter was just telling me she wanted a Chilla figure the other day too. I can hardly wait!

Also, that’s nearly all new tooling, incredible! Really surprised (and happy) that we’ve got a new torso instead of the standard MOTU buck. Hopefully means we’ll see a bunch of variation in the characters as the line goes on.
