I assumed that they were simply being delayed but it is nice to get confirmation. I am definitely planning on subbing again going forward so it is not a huge deal to me. Also these are two of my favorites so I will be geeked for the next sub already.
Weird. I’m in China, ordering from my UK account, and posting to the US. I changed my VPN from Canada to Hong Kong and it went through first time.

Me too! He has always been one of my favorites. I have a deep appreciation for the LJN figure but look forward to Mattel designing a more cartoon accurate figure.

Any reason why the front page hasn’t been updated to say that subs are open? I want lots and lots of people to subscribe so this line keeps going.

I need your help guys. I am not a big thunder cats fan like you guys. In fact I heard about this line at heman.org. I tried to watch the cartons to get some perspective but it is just as cheesy as the filmation he man ones, so I gave up after 3 episodes. However I am intrigued by the toys. I try to collect everything Matty puts out but after seeing the ghost busters and DC lines terminated prematurely, I don’t want to start another line that is left incomplete.
So with that in mind, do you think it’s worth subbing or should I just wait and see if the line survives till next year to add more figures and vehicles?
Sorry for the long post but I hope some fans can help me out.

I honestly have no idea why you would subscribe to collect a line of figures you are not interested in just because Mattel are making them.

Only time will tell if this will be a long running line. As you, i am not a big fan of the old toon, i prefer the one from 2011. Now, if you like the characters, the old ones, but do not like the way the toon was developed, you can still try to collect few of them. A more adult collection with better point of articulations can give you a better feel of the toys based on the old toon like “i do not like the toon too much but the action figures are cool”
You could always subscribe and see where it goes. If the line doesn’t go as far as you hope, there’s a good chance that you could get at least your money back on the second-hand market. And, then you’re supporting the line and helping the odds of a long and fruitful line of toys But that’s a biased view coming from a fan who really wants to see the line succeed and from someone who has wished several times that I got in on the ground floor of a toy line that I passed on originally. Heh. I think this line doing well would also show Mattel that there are fans out there for other 80s cartoons. I would love for them to get a Silverhawks license! I’m all for seeing more 80s cartoons making a comeback.

I would second this. If you are on the fence I would sub. It will be easier to sell them later and probably get most if not all of your money back than to try and pick them all up later if you have regrets.

Panthro. Not sure what it is, but his face seems bit off. Also I know he is shorter than the other ThunderCats, but somehow he looks way more shorter, probably due to the limitations of the existing MOTUC buck/mold.
I am sure he will eventually grow on me. But I wish these figures had little more length to them on the legs, especially on the thighs and below the knee.

They both look great! I am so beyond excited to get this sub. If the sculpts keep coming out like this then I know the line will go far.
Something about Pumyra’s face looks…I dunno…bland. Needs more personality somehow. That’s my only real complaint though, I’ll be happy to have these two on the shelf :biggrin
The legs could be a bit longer but I think these are as cartoon accurate as your going to get. They look like they jumped off the screen.
