I think they released some exclusives on their website. I believe they did that with He-Ro. A translucent Jaga or Tygra would be awesome.
I really can’t wait to get this line started! I am assuming that of the 10 done probably half or less would be the “core” characters right? Don’t they prefer to spread those out throughout the line?
As far as convention exclusives go, do subscribers have any advantage to obtaining them if they cannot attend the con?
Well we only have MOTUC to use an example. Thundercats has a smaller cast of characters compared to MOTU but the core MOTU characters would be He-Man, Skeletor, Teela, Man-At-Arms, Evil-Lynn, Tri-Klops, Beast Man, Mer-Man and Stratos and Hordak. All but Evil-Lyn saw release in the first year.
That’s really exciting to know that there has been some development and that the figures are ready for 2016! I thought they were only going to release 6 from July. But hearing about 10 is excellent. Does that mean that the 2017 line up is already in the preparation stage? Really horrible that us lot from outside the US will not be able to get the SDCC / Toyfair items. A bit unfair having to pay ridiculous prices on ebay. Does Mattel sell these items to subscribers too? I do hope so. Nevertheless, can’t wait. I’m signing up.
I don’t recall if I asked this before but will the Thundercats line depend on meeting magic subscription goals like MOTU every year?

They haven’t really been doing the subscription meter thing anymore for MOTUC, but I’m sure there is still a minimum. I’m sure Thundercats will do well.
So seven figures for the subscription are done plus three more…the SDCC exclusive maybe. Exciting news, can’t wait until Toy Fair!

All of the Masters of the Universe convention items have been on sale through the website two weeks after the convention, so it shouldn’t be a problem getting them. Sometimes they sell out fast though.
I believe a Mattel employee said it would be the same deal as MOTU as far as character selection and spreading out the core characters.

Yeah I might collect some of them. I have other plans for my money at present though regarding my art. I only buy the odd figure now like a Marvel Legends etc when they are cheap on sale.

It will be interesting to see how the Filmation figures turn out.
I loved Visionaries I had all the toys and figures with the exception of Mortdredd and the SkyClaw.

I used to have them… Hope the release new figures based on the originals… Who knows? Maybe they bring back the original line but with better detail.

The line has a lot of potential that could be better realised than just holographic stickers. The toys could come with their animal forms or perhaps even be able to transform into their animal forms like the Animorphs toyline from the late 90’s that was associated with Beast Wars. The whole concept of Visionaries is great and could be brilliant in terms of movie, tv shows, comics and toys.

I will prefer that a new toy line come with the extra animal plastic figure instead of transforming the characters into animals, because that gave me the impression of the so bulky Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and the Mutation TMNT…
Yes, now they can do Hologram way easier and less expensive if they go that route… Anyway a logo like the Transformers can do well for me.
Micronauts has the potential to be a hugely massive success. Those Masher toys Hasbro made of Transformers, Marvel, Star Wars and Mattel and Playmates are making of WWE and TMNT are selling quite well and very popular with children. So a bunch of robots/aliens with interchangeable limbs and equipment/weapons along with vehicles that can be switched combined about in different ways seems like a toy line that will do very well.
Same for Centurions…they should bring them back as well. :biggrin

Didn’t expect them to go with Pumyra so early on, but I like the decision.
I am in no hurry to have the core team right away, as I want to see this line continue for few years thus allowing us to have all the core and secondary characters.
Will place my subscription order on Monday right away and I hope all ThunderCats fans will do the same.
This is what we have been waiting for so many years and it’s time to prove our support through out wallets.
