Did anyone else watch the 2-part mini-series on SyFy the last two nights called “Neverland?” It was a mini-series regarding the beginnings of Neverland.
I thought it was really good. I thought it had really great special effects. Loved seeing the same actor playing Smee who played him in the movie “Hook” back in the early 1990’s. It was a very clever adaptation I must say and I liked the complexity of the Hook character. I thought Peter and the Lost Boys were all wonderfully cast.
I didn’t understand the role of the one male adult indian who spoke english and interacted more with the boys. He wasn’t the chief, so I wasn’t sure who he was supposed to be.
My only complaints:
I think Peter’s flying never had a good flow to it.
I didn’t like the way they made Tink and the other fairies look. Too metallic for my taste. Although I did like Keira Knightley’s voice for the part. Surprised she did the voice for it considering how famous she is.
By explaining the only way to fly is to take a swim in pixie dust while the pixies sing - that kind of ruins how Peter was able to get Wendy and her brothers to fly later on since simply sprinkling them with pixie dust would make them explode.
