Nebwie newb

Hi there, Im new to the site.

Just got back into the Thundercats vibe with the release of the season 1 part 1 boxset from HMV here in the UK.

Im in Scotland, Glasgow. Im 26 and i just won a :Bengali: on ebay along with a :pumyrahappy:, :panthro: and Burble Belle for £21 including postage of course they’re not complete but hey its something better than the nothing i had before.

Just need to find the other Thundercats, mutants and a :lynxo: and ill be happy

I was also wondering is there anywhere cheaper than ebay to purchase figures from? Ebay is all fine and well but i dont want MOC figures and just would like to get a hold of a decent lot and a decent price.

Welcome! Have fun!:cheetaraveryhappy:

There are other websites out there you just have to look a little, I’m also sure some people here on the boards have some they could sell you. If you were a few weeks earlier I just got rid of all of mine. oh wait I do have a panthro that needs cleaning if interested.
you can also check out http://www.action-figures.ca/catalog/index.php?cPath=25_40

Well anyway welcome to the lair and enjoy your stay.

Wellcome aboard gotham_knight!

Matt did you sell all your loose collection? Man, you should have posted something in the board.. :frowning:

hey there welcome to tcl enjoy your stay

It was only my doubles that I ended up getting rid of, but your right vintage I should have posted something on here about them not just ebay (as I sold them in 2 lots and they went for a lot less than I was hoping). Well in a few weeks I have some more stuff to sell so I will put it on here also (my double minis, and other things)

Chris here…

Welcome gotham_knight - apologies for not responding to this thread before! :frowning: Always fantastic to see another UK fan on here, great to see that the UK S1V1 set is doing its job and reawakening the interests of other fans!

I hope you enjoy your time here at TCL!

Take care…

Thanks for a warm welcome everyone.

I recieved my figures i won on ebay yesteray unfortunately the seller had sent them in a plain jiffy bag so they were more damaged than he had listed them as

But he hadnt mentioned that the figures had some sort of speckle/discolouration effect on them, does anyone know if this is a common effect on the figures?

Yes, it’s common when the figures were on the sun for too long… The bad thing is that it can’t be removed.. :frowning:

That and some kind of spots that appear on the plastic, darkish… I don’t know what causes that, maybe smoke?

Just to add, it seems more common with the series 3 heroes as the plastic tends to get brownish or even sometimes sea blue spots on the arms and legs of the figures. The theory is that this is due to some of the plastic on these figures being cheap and breaking down within time :frowning:

and like Vintage says, when this happens there ain’t much you can do about it :frowning:

I’m not sure if you can make them out properly, but the pic below shows a Pumyra I once owned that started to get the brown spots:

Yes thats the same kind of spots the Bengali and Pumyra has, the Pumyra also has this weird sort of greenish residue around her neck. I wonder how hard would it be to get one that doesnt have that damage, I suppose it would help of some ebay sellers described their products fully/honestly.

On another note i did manage to get a nice condition Tygra at a car boot sale for £3 today
