A few weeks ago my fiancée and I went to visit my parents. I still have a large chunk of my toy collection stored at their house, so I’ve been trying to move as much of it as I can into our house whenever I get the chance. I don’t make it home that often, so when I do I really try to pack the car FULL of toys. Some are stacked high in boxes. Some toys, however, are too precious to be stacked.

My fiancée posted this on her Facebook so our friends could mock me. I thought I would put it up somewhere that I could be commended for my heads up thinking and ingenuity. “Priority seating goes to the priorities,” I told her. She’s lucky I didn’t make her hold it in her lap for the 3 hour trip.
Hahaha, I hear you man! I have a wife that doesn’t get the whole collecting toys part either! Definitely the right way to transport it, good job!
I did’nt realise how large that cats lair was untill I seen it in the drivers seat! sheesh!!

I find that significant others generally don’t “get” the whole “collecting things from childhood” thing unless they actually do the same. An ex-girlfriend of mine couldn’t understand, for example, how excited I was to pull my old lego out of storage for a few weeks last year. It went back, eventually, once I’d built a massive train set to amuse a small relative with. But whilst I had it out, oh man. I was so happy.
Nobody really understood why I, at almost thirty, was having so much fun stacking brightly coloured blocks together.
It’s their loss, I say.
I think that’s funny! I always wanted the Cats Lair when I was a kid. How many “toys” are you wanting to fill your house with? I think I’d be a little nervous if I was getting married to a guy whose house was full of nostalgic toys. But that’s just me. 
All my ex-gfs couldn’t stand my interests for longer than 3 months and so did I. I’m being quite lucky with my current, it was really hard to find a girl that’s into toys & games and doesn’t actually look… bad or be a narcissist.
