I know I haven’t been active here in ages. Alot of personal things have gone on since 2007, hospital stays, medications, therapy…etc. But aside of all of that, I come here asking for help. My father is dying, and has about a month left to live. All I ask is a few prayers, nothing else. I know so many hate me, but please overlook that and pray for my dad, he was a war hero in the 1960’s.
Forget that…he’s still a hero to me. I’m not trying to sound like a drama queen here, I’m just acting like a little daughter here. Ugh, 33 and still looking up at him. He had a full, wonderful life. Damnit, I don’t want to write an obituary, but I have to in a few weeks since Mom can’t. Sorry for venting here, you are not the first Tcat site for me to breakdown. Well, I went to Purrsia’s site, people were nice, but I doubt if EOT will. I did PM an owner and a moderator there asking for permission to as for a prayer post even though I got banned because I didn’t know to answer a mass email.
well i dont hate u and i must say i hate to see someone struggle with death with a family member, especially that of cancer and i know what your going thru cause my father died as well from pancreatic cancer. so all i can say is good luck getting thru it and make sure you and your family and friends stick together during that difficult time
I don’t hate you either, and will certainly be happy to keep you, your dad and your family in my thoughts and prayers - so sorry to hear this sad news.
I know what it’s like to lose a parent. My mother died of cancer and diabetes nearly 13 years ago. She was the only person in the world who ever really understood me, and I still think about her a lot. My father is getting older and I’m afraid I may lose him too (He has Alzheimer’s, as well as other things, in his family history), so I know what you’re going through. I don’t think you’re a daddy’s girl at all. I feel the same way.

Thank you all so much for your love and support. My father has liver cancer. Before they cancelled his operation for this week and then they decided to perform the operation this Wednesday anyways. He should be home on Thanksgiving since they say it’s supposed to be simple. What lead them to discover the cancer was when my father went to the doctor about a blocked bile duct. Three things cause blocked bile ducts…1. gall stones, 2. pancreatic cancer or 3. liver cancer. So the surgery this week is supposed to unblock the duct. Unfortunately,he won’t be able to eat the holiday dinner. Liver cancer is the quickest. When his father got it, he died in a month.

I am sorry to hear about your father I have lost loved ones to cancer and I know it is tough. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours. I for one have no reason to hate you and therefore I don’t.
You have my deepest and sincerest condolences queen_Lynxana. I lost my father to stomach/kidney cancer on Friday Feb. 13, 2009 so I understand. Certain things I never got a chance to tell him and we had a strained relationship. Anyway I just want to let you know that I wish you some sort of comfort during this sad time and if you ever need to chat I’m sure any one of us here on TCL is willing to listen. Once again I am sorry for your loss but remember this…at least now he can rest and is not in pain anymore. I know that may be little comfort but it is the truth.
I would like to take this moment to thank all of you for your love and support. I always could take comfort among the Thundercat fandom. During this whole ordeal from beginning to end, I have journaled this entire ordeal on Purrsia’s forum. At first I was going to post simultaniously on both sites but with taking care of my father and family, I couldn’t find the time or the energy to do both. So if any of you want to read the entire story since November and future updates, you can do so on Purrsia’s site’s forum.

Would one of the moderators here please rename this post to “My father has died of cirrhosis” We all thought he was dying from liver cancer but at the end, we are talking days, that they were wrong, it was cirrhosis of the liver.
I’m doing my best now, I’m trying to follow your example. I’m going to complete my degree like you did, continue to take care of Mom and the rest of the family like I’ve been doing since January.
I miss you but I can feel you guiding me and still protecting me.
