I consider myself lucky to have gotten ThunderCat toys as a kid. My parents often didn’t buy brand name toys and I never did get the Cats Lair that I so very wanted. But these are the toys I got, some I still have.
Lion-O action figure.
Unfortunately his arm broke off and he got thrown away. I was so hearbroken. I still have his sword and claw shield though. I never understood why the toy claw shield was red though. My compensation for play was a Lion-O eraser I got in a kids meal I think at Dairy Queen. Unfortunately the height of the Lion-O eraser comes to about the shoulders of the Thunderkittens (the non-movable kind that came packaged with Tygra and Cheetara). So when I played with him, I had to pretend something happened to make him shrink.
Older Tygra action figure with Wilykat.
Still have Tygra and his bolo whip. Still have Wilykat. Never liked Wilykat because he was totally stiff and couldn’t move like the adult figures could.
Cheetara action figure with Wilykit.
Still have Cheetara though the action piece on her back broke off. I don’t think I still have her staff. Still have Wilykit, don’t like her figure for the same reason as Wilykat above. Her hand that is sticking out broke off a long time ago.
Panthro action figure.
Still have Panthro but I seem to havelost his nunchucks.
Snarf straw holder.
I think this also came from a Dairy Queen kids meal. Snarf is a comparable size to the action figures, but his hands are curved around so you can stick your straw through it. I just always played with him with the action figures.
Vultureman action figure.
I hated him, he was so ugly, but I think I still have him maybe somewhere with his weapon thing. He’s not with where I kept the other action figures so maybe I threw him away.
They all have some paint chipping.
As a kid, I also had and believe I still have a sticker book (not complete) where you traded stickers to try and get the ones you needed. It’s pretty tattered now though if I still have it. Not sure where I put it.
I also have a tiny little paperback book that my cousin gave me because he didn’t really like ThunderCatstitled “Quest forthe Magic Crystal.”
I am excited that they’re coming out with toys from the original ThunderCats. I especially would like to get a Lion-O again. Though now I’d be looking at it from a collectors point of view.
