Movie News: Fantastic Four 2, Chronicles of Narnia, Die Hard 4.0, X-Men 4? and more

Just received the latest Lee’s Toy Review and foundsome interesting movies either already in the works or relasing in the near future…

+++The following is quoted directly from Lee’s+++

Fantastic Four 2

The sequel is (sadly)following in the footsteps of the original. The original side stepped War of the Worlds last year and now the sequel has moved two weeks backwards (to June 15th) to avoid Transformers, which opens on July 4th.Word has also come down from the lips of Jessica Alba that Silver Surfer will make an appearance as the villain/ally of the Fantastic Four. I smell a spinoff franchise in the works.

Chronicles of Narnia- Prince Caspian- December 2008

Disney has backed up the release of the second C.S. Lewis film from December 2007 to December 2008.

Die Hard 4.0

Fox has announced that that Len Wiseman (Underworld/Underworld: Evolution) will direct this long awaited sequel. In the fourthh film Bruce Willis’ John McLaine comes out of retirement to battle a bunch of internet terrorists.

Wolverine/Magneto/X-Men 4

Despite being coldly received by most X-Fans, X-Men: The Last Stand obliterated all Memorial Day box office records and in the process made a bajillion dollars. So…where is the future of the franchise? First on the slate is the Wolverine spinoff, which despite rumors is not being considered a prequel…or sequel. Avi Arad (former head of Marvel) has said that it is just a story involving Wolverine’s past, and doesnt really connect to the franchise (except for that whole Hugh Jackman as Wolverine thing). The Magneto film is also in production, and Ian McKellan will make an appearance via the de-aging precess used in the opening scenes of X#. And finally “what about X-Men 4?” Fox insists X3 was the last for the franchise, but considering how well Last Stand percformed at the box office (and the “Secret Ending” tacked on at the end of the credits), I’d put my money on X4 happening rather than not.

Transformers-July 7, 2007

Ok…if you grew up a fan in the 80’s you may not be too happy with what you are about to read, so this is your last chance to turn back. It appears there is a police car in the film. Not the Autobot Prowl but a Decepticon named Brawl. Brawl’s a tank you say? Well not in this Michael Bay-version where Devastator is the tank. And Bonecrusher…well the "thing Bonecrusher transforms to is too stupid to describe.Megatron will now be a jet. And finally Bumblebee is a yellow camaro and not a Volkswagen Beetle (not to Dreamworks: BUMBLEBEE! BUG Get it? Morons)

Casino Royale (Bond 21)- November 17, 2006

Rocky Balboa- December, 2006

Ghost Rider- February 16, 2007

Pirates of the Caribbean III-Summer 2007

Harry Potter & The Order of The Phoenix-Summer 2007

Halloween 9-Directed by Rob Zombie, 2007

And there you have it for the latest!!!

How does one battle internet terrorists? Is it going to be John McLaine flaming them on a message board for the entire film? :scratching:
