My favorite character by far is Cheetara. She has few scenes, but when she gets them they’re gold.
One I like the least is Lion-o, nothing against the guy, but he gets far to much screen time. I prefer shows where everyone gets equal time, and that’s how I wish this show would do things.
I like Cheetara and Lion-o best, then Tygra.
But the fans like Tygra a lot, and Lion-o seems to get bashed more and more since the latest episode. And Cheetara’s being called horrible names…
I like cheetara but i’m confused.
in those old thunder thursdays articles Michael Jelenic says, “Girl characters on action shows always get short-changed for a lot of reasons,” Jelenic remarked. “A lot of people’s instinct is to make the female character the voice of reason on a team show. And then the effect of that is that they become a boring character. So we try to stay away from that with Cheetara.”
what happened to her not being the cliche voice of reason?
^ I think about that every time Cheetara crosses my mind. I was rooting for her in the beginning, but I am starting to find her out to be a real snore. Am I the only one who notices the panning shots they do on her?
I don’t see her much as being the voice of reason on the show. Is goading Panthro into going faster a voice of reason? I don’t think so. And when she was joking about Veragur breaking her staff.
Being encouraging to Lion-o, and being the voice of reason are two completely different things.
At least that’s how I see things.
I don’t find her boring, my favorite parts in the last two eps were from Cheetara.
In ep 10 when she goaded Panthro about slow and steady was great.
And then in 11 when she was falling and she yells ‘I love that staff!’ I must of watched that scene like 10 times.
Though, I do wish she got more screen time.
And I happen to like the panning shots. They make good screens once I piece them together.

Hey now, Cheetara wears a shirt. Tygra without a shirt is exploitation on the other hand. Lol.
I think that people sympathize with Tygra the most and hence he is the favorite, outside of also being kind of a badass in this version. Those combined seem to make him the favorite, and he is also the underdog if you think about it, gaining him even more support. Lion-o is being portrayed as having a BIG lead in the race for Cheetara’s affections, right? People don’t cheer for that. So, when you see a character quietly carry a heavy burden and remain the underdog and fight, it makes people pull for that guy the most I think. So that’s why Tygra is blowing cheetara and lion-o outta the water in fan popularity. Tigersharks is tight fyi.

Cheetara wears a face towel with sleeves. Its all good, but Tygra should do his part to make her feel less on the spot (zing).
Hey, you see the male characters chests alot. With shirts, but still. Not Cheetara’s fault her boobs are in the same spot. What else can they do? Nothing but head shots? lol
no but telling tygra he should be more supportive or telling lion-o that tygra has lived in his shadow is. etc. etc. she’s always the one giving out advice.
goading panthro has nothing to do with it. just because she’s reasonable doesn’t mean she’s against fun.
Eh, girls mature faster then boys. Plus she was a cleric. Those combined make her more level headed then the others. And I wouldn’t call that advice, just stating facts. Tygra should be more supportive, and Tygra has lived in Lion-o’s shadow.
well if you wanna talk about fair panthro wears less on top than cheetara.
And just look at the old show. Lion-o wore less then this Cheetara in that. And who invented the ab window? I’ve always hated that.
what exactly do you think a “voice of reason” is? to me it’s someone who gives advice and tries to make someone see someone else’s pointof view. and you can’t say she doesn’t do that.

Just chiming in, dunno who’s the favorite in the series everywhere outside of this site and with my pals Lion-O is a definite favorite with many thinking Tygra is a big jerk who needs to suck it up and eat some humble pie, but here at our Lair I gotta say us Tygra fans are EVERYWHERE, LOVE IT, people like me!!! On that same note I see some of us Tygra fans feel Lion-O is a spoiled brat (can’t lie I’m one of them though I do LIKE Lion-O as a whole) I was the only person I knew amongst my huge family and friends when I was a little kid that loved Tygra, I’m glad to see the talented tiger get some attention this time around!

Maybe just me but I see far more Tygra supporters are FEMALE fans, (I myself am female) and more MALES seem to be Lion-O fans. Thoughts?

Eh, good point. But she’s still not a cliched voice of reason. Those really are boring. Cheetara has wit and can have fun.
I’m a guy, and Tygra (OS and NS) has been my fav all time 
I’m a girl. Though i loved Tygra from the OS a little better than OS Lion-o.
