Hi,
Could be some sort of fade due to age, or it could relate back to the figure the factory copied the coloration from. I have 2 different Snowman that are painted differently and have different copyright markings so most likely a different factory made the figure.
Lots of variants that aren’t tracked or archived.

I have not received it again, maybe the paint has been removed, but when I will have the figure in hands I will you confirm that.

What is the dates and copyright information on the bottom of the feet of your figures?
Curious if they are different, I don’t have a mongor yet but wanted to see if there could be a difference.
If it helps, my UK Toy Options carded Mongor has the darker grey handled scythe on the left.
I have a feeling this will be a Euro vs USA variation once again!

I have the same unpainted one also, may have been a uk variant as I purchased it in the uk too. I also have the lighter of the two in the top picture and have seen the darker one before but yet to pick one up.
There are no numbers on the feet. The info I posted previous is all there is written on the feet
On the heel (underneath) Mongor has a number 2 on his right foot and number 3 on his left.
Is this what you wanted?
(Btw he’s now on ebay if anyone needs a complete Mongor)
After reading Pedro’s post I took another look and seems I missed the numbers!
Yep on mine, on the same foot as the copyright info is what looks like either a ‘5’ or an ‘S’ (too difficult to make out with the figure still being carded) and the other foot has a ‘3’
Does this help at all? (must admit I never paid too much attention to the writing on the feet of the figures while collecting)
For loose collectors this could be a whole other area to collect. Both Cheetara variations i have have different information, in the case of 2 snowman figures the plastic is different and the paint as well while the date stamping and other information are in totally different spots. Some how this relates to where the figure was produced.
Where / when - and i believe the “random” numbers have to do with batch numbers

I just got the Unpainted Scythe version.
This unpainted weapon was made in a really soft plastic, the painted version is in rigid plastic.
-The figure of the painted version got under the left feet the number 3 and the number 2 on the right one.
-The figure of the unpainted version got under the left feet the number 3 and the number 1 on the right one.
Excepted the numbers changing, the same thing is written:
LNJ TOYS LTD.
@1987
LORIMAR-TELEPIX, LCI, T.WOLF.
Sounds like with some other examples these numbers probably are mold specific and the COO ( Country of Origin ) location where it was made.
Neil where was your MOC Monger made? Are all the packages from the same place? I don’t have many carded so best to ask
I got the one with unpainted scythe directly loose from a UK seller saying “never played by a child, owned by an adult collector”, I think the seller opened it himself by the past because the toy is Minty.
Probably a Toy Option moc, but I can’t tell.
The Regular Mongor that I have comes from a flemish/belgian card opened by myself a month ago.
I only have the Toy Options carded Mongor. The Toy Options releases were produced in Oldham, UK. They are Rainbow Toys releases, but oddly Rainbow Toys logo was left off these releases?
I’d love to pick up a Rainbow Toys carded Mongor at some point
I’ll check my loose Mongor later on (but I’m certain his Scythe is the soft plastic version)
Blackiecats you are correct. That’s the reason I have two moc mongors in my collection. If you look the us vs the foreign release actually has a slight paint variation on mongor himself as well.
