Figured we can all report errors here for discussion. Rewatching the premiere again after all this time, I noticed Claudus celebrates Grune calling him “the greatest general…” but we learned Lynxo was given the title which disappointed him. Hmmm.
Well Lynxo was named General of the army. Grune and Panthro were probably over other divisions. shrugs
Grune and Panthro had been gone a long time by then. You don’t think that Claudus would’ve found another general to lead his forces.
Also there are no limits on how many generals one can have either. 
What he’s saying is that they wouldn’t have been promoted while they were away so they would’ve had to been Generals already before they went on their quest. Probably thought there could be only one General.

In “Old Friends” Claudus made Lynx-O general of the army but sent Panthro and Grune to find the book, which he described as a more important task (seemingly implying the people sent on it were the “greatest”), which was also better suited to them because they worked best as a team and only one could have become gen. of the army.
I think it’s a tad early to be discussing plot holes and inconsistencies. How about we wait till the season ends? =/
Also remember Claudus said that in the past. Events may had happened afterwards for him to think less of Lynx-O.
it is common for there to be multiple Generals in an army, and different levels of general. we have no indication that Panthro and Grune were not generals at the time they were sent to look for the book, just that Lynxo was designated as the head general of the army.
another indication that Panthro and Grune were indeed generals before they left, is that Lion-O refers to Panthro as General. and Panthro wouldnt know he had been promoted during his time away, indicating that he was already a General (and anyone with a military background would be able to tell you, Panthro would refuse to be called General if he wasnt properly promoted to such, its a sign of disrespect to be called the wrong rank)

What can I say, I like the idea of this thread. I just hope it doesn’t detract from the epic story line.
End of premiere episode, Mumm-Ra can’t stand up when the sun rises, and has to get Grune to help him into shade. But in Journey to the Tower of Omens, he has no problem wandering around in the clearing in the daytime.
with that, i have 2 theories on why this is. 1 theory is that the clearing in the forest doesnt really have direct sunlight. another theory is that Mumm-Ra’s mummy form really isnt effected that much by sunlight, and he was only hurt so bad in the first episode because he was mid-transformation
Perhaps it was dusk and the light was low during that part of the evening.
