I originally was going to see Larry, Adam West and Burt Ward, but when I heard that the latter charged $100 for a photo on top of an autograph charge, that killed that plan… I had just come off an expensive Philly Con and couldn’t swing it.
But, Meeting Larry more than made up for it. I originally wanted a photo, but his wife had the idea to shoot video, and this came from it :). Larry was also kind enough to sign a photo, and do a voice mail. However, I am so annoyed that I messed up on the voice mail recording and the good audio never got recorded. I did a mic test, it seemed to work, I did a playback, the audio seemed clear at thebegining, but I forgot to set the input for the mic and it has all the background noise on it.
Oh well, if Thundercon really does make it to NY next year as rumored, I’ll get another shot I plan to bring out all my big recording gear for that
Yeah, Larry is a top notch guy! I met him once and he was very charming and a real pleasure to talk to. He signed my Thundercats Posters and he even signed my girlfriends stomach, I think that made his day lol!
I just checked the voice mail. I’m so annoyed I forgot to set the mic input the right way… I did a mic test, it seemed to work right, I played the first few seconds back, the audio sounded good… oh well.. it’s sort of understandable
Yeah I really really at least once in my lifetime very soon I hope to meet him. Sadly I’m in the south and all the cons he’s at are far away from me.
I just want that time to just say thanks, get a pic/video and autograph. Would mean the world to me. And hope I don’t cry my eyes out in tears of joy too. : D
