I received this PM from Jaga:

I am curious to why there is nothing being done about this guy? We were both told over a month ago that there was to be no more posts on the board about this. Even though he has ripped me off I have gone by what the moderators have asked. So today he posts that I am a bad buyer and you guys do nothing but close the thread. He was warned just like I was to not post about this or action would be taken. Why has nothing been done?

Now, I don’t directly moderate the Marketplace forums and today I just realized that MannyC has changed around who is moderating what, so I just wanted to know if anyone can tell me restarted the argument again. I’ve sent both Jaga and aewsmith a PM regarding this situation, so there is no more need to let them know where they stand as I have already given them their final warning.

Jaga posted a comment concerning their Pumyra transaction on aewsmith’s thread asking for Thundercats promo photos . I can’t remember the exact wording of the comment since I’m no longer able to view it through the moderator panel. Then Aewsmith replied basically telling Jaga not to start the issue up again by hijacking his thread.

As agreed (MannyC and myself) we didn’t want this issue to be brought up again on the message board, therefore I deleted BOTH Jaga and Aewsmith’s posts concerning the pumyra trade, just leaving Aewsmith’s original thread starter post asking about Thundercats promo photos (the post that is still on the forum now)

Since I moderated that thread, the posts I deleted are now unavailable for me to view as a moderator and the thread itself has been locked. Why I don’t know?

I believed I was doing the right thing by deleting the posts that brought up the pumyra trade issue again and I felt Aewsmith was doing nothing wrong with his post about Promo photos. If WE as a site/forum do not trust Aewsmith to sell/trade on this forum (and that’s why his thread was locked) then I suggest he is either outright banned from the forum or banned from trading on the forum rather than go to the trouble of locking every thread he starts up in the marketplace.

I won’t lie here, I feel a bit disgruntled that my moderation was altered. It isn’t the first time moderation decisions of mine have been overturned without contacting me first. I’m also starting to feel like an outsider on the team. Heck, I didn’t even know Celesta had returned until I saw new posts by her in this forum!

Ok let me just clear one thing…yes i did change moderation on the different forums. How?.. I took myself out and added people to the different forums. Originally it was me and Neil as moderators for all forums so Neil is still moderator for all of them. To make it easy on people to know who to contact in the respective forums i have enabled the moderators to show up on the main page

Neil i would like to know how your moderation was altered. Before coming down to bad conclusions or how moderation changed,please look under the respective forums as to who the moderators are.Also what moderation decisions were overturned without your consent? I’m interested to find out because as far as im concerned I have not altered anything you have moderated.

Hey guys cut it out. I made this thread just wanting to know what was happening. I wasn’t blaming anyone that they weren’t doing their job.

I was the one who permanently deleted the posts in the promo thread as I wasn’t sure if the ‘soft’ deletion could still be seen by everyone. If someone thought that was wrong, why not say something?

I didn’t mean anything about the changing around of the moderation except that I didn’t know it was changed around. Nothing else. My post had nothing negative towards anyone.

Neil, why do you feel like an outsider? Am I making you feel like an outsider? And that’s not to be meant as negative, I’m just curious as to why you feel this way.

If you guys don’t like things that I’m doing, say something. I’ve always advocated that you guys are entitled to speak out. Is it the mechandise going under cartoons? Is it because I’m not telling anyone what I’m doing? Please let me know. If you’re not comfortable saying it here, there is private messages.

All I wanted to know is whether Jaga hijacked Adam’s promo thread. That’s it.

I didn’t really want to mention this as it was ages ago, but with what I said in my previous post I have no choice. Well a thread was started as an April fools joke that a new Thundercats series was happening. Personally, I think those kinds of jokes can be problem with the fact that it’s false information and I didn’t want the site and forum to be associated with false information no matter how innocent and what context it was done in. So I locked the thread. Next time I log on the thread has been re-opened. I’m not pointing any fingers as I have no idea who it was and I let it pass as it wasn’t a big deal really back then.

For some reason I’m unable to permanently delete posts and it will only let me soft delete. I thought it was set like that for everyone. No I didn’t think that was wrong because I would have done the same if I could.

No it’s nobody in particular. Everyone else just seems to be united with each other, you and MannyC running the forum and then everyone else involved with the Encyclopedia project. I just feel a bit out of the loop and redundant. It’s nobody elses fault. :slight_smile: I thought a team meeting would motivate everyone and talking to everyone about their progress might make me feel more in the loop so to speak.

No, but now that you mention it, I don’t think Merchandise would work under the Cartoon section. Still thinks it’s best having it’s own section.

He did. If Jaga was ripped off I understand why he did, but he should of at least kept those kinds of comments to the feedback section at the very least.

I’m cool with everyone, just a bit frustrated at not knowing where I stand when it comes to moderation decisions.

Just so that no one else gets blamed, I was also the one who unlocked the April Fool’s thread. I was actually thinking of doing that myself, but Tygra beat me to it. He PM’ed me and asked if he violated any of the rules on the board and when I read the rules again, I didn’t think so, so I overruled the decision.

I didn’t think it was a big deal and if it is, I apologize.

I understand and I didn’t know you felt that way. A team meeting would definitely be nice. I’ll write about that in the other thread. But don’t feel left out, you’re one of the key members of this site! :slight_smile:

Okay, well from the messages I’m getting from Jaga, he said he didn’t hijack the thread and that Adam (aewsmith) made the “Bad Buyer” thread because of the threads months ago.

He wants me to remove the “Bad Buyer” thread altogether simply because he thinks he did nothing wrong. He paid, so he considers himself a good buyer and that the thread was made in retaliation.

So Neil, if you think it (the Bad Buyer thread) should stay there or it should be removed, I’m fine with whatever decision you make. :slight_smile:

Adam and Jaga are both pretty pissed at me saying that we haven’t been fair about the whole issue. Jaga says allowing Adam to come back and post negative things about him is wrong while Adam says allowing Jaga to use his signature as a negative feedback tool is wrong.

All I know is, is this issue comes up again, I want to be contacted so I can ban the person who brought it up. At least the issue will be resolved on the board.

It isn’t really. Well not now anyway. I just think it looks bad when a senior member looks to be undermined by another senior member. Perhaps I should have sent you a pm with my concerns and then would could have decided whether to let the thread continue or not together. However I’d sooner forget it as it honestly isn’t a big deal. I just brought it up in anger.

It’s cool. Looking back I think I overeacted. It was probably because I felt terrible for the last few days as I suffer with Hayfever and when I get it, it like having a bad cold. My eyes sting, my throat is soar and I can’t stop sneezing. Living at the back of a field and woods doesn’t help. So with feeling a little run down I think I was over sensitive. I’m gonna try to get more involved with things from now on :slight_smile:

MannyC pm’ed me about sorting this issue out. I’ve already contacted Jaga who has supplied me with full details of the transaction from beginning to end. I’ve also asked him for copies of the email exchanges he has had with Aewsmith.

I will let you guys know what I think as soon as I’ve read everything, if Jaga sends me the emails. I don’t like the idea of feedback by Jaga being removed simply because he wants Aewsmith Bad buyer comments to be removed as well to protect his reputation for future trades. If Jaga’s comments are justified they are an important reference for any future traders here. Well I guess we’ll see.

In the meantime if any team members reading this thread have anything to add concerning either Aewsmith or Jaga please let me know.

As for the whole Jaga Aewsmith issue, they both informed me that we haven’t been fair (which I disagreed) when I told them this was their final warning. Jaga then accused me of giving him attitude about the issue when he asked me to remove his name from the team page, which might I add was a huge mistake since he did nothing to begin with.

This is my opinion: While I don’t condone Jaga’s behavior, the bad buyer thread was in retaliation for the bad seller thread. Jaga also said the only reason why he hijacked the promo thread was because of the bad buyer thread made by Adam. I previously thought the bad buyer thread was made after Jaga made a post in Adam’s thread.

Anyhow, whatever your decision is, I will support you Neil. I don’t care if either one of them does a transaction on this board in the future just as long as this issue is behind us.

I’m waiting on one more response and then I’ll get back to you. I’ll post here as I want all moderators to be aware of the situation to avoid any confusion. It’s easier that way.

Jaga did wrong posting in aewsmith’s promo pics thread, but I understand his frustration. I’m hoping before the beginning of next week things will be sorted one way or the other.
