Making an episode game

In the few seconds it took Tygra to deliberate what to do, Mumm-Ra the everliving had recovered from the wreathing flame cast about him. He fixated his demon eyes on Tygra and then Lion-O, sensing the tigers dilema he smirked an evil grin. Mumm-Ra then unleashed raw energy from his mouth at Lion-O and unable to react quickly enough himself, Tygra hoped the eye of thundera’s red sphere could protect his king…his brother.

For several heart-stopping moments, pink and red energy swirled in an angry dance of energy. Before Mumm-Ra could fire another burst at Tygra, he jerked as several shots hit the ancient evil one from different directions. As Tygra looked around for his unexpected ally, a small package landed at his feet. Should he open it or was this another trap?

Another round of shots where fired, and now that he was paying attention to them he noticed that they were fired more or less simultaneously. For a moment he could have sworn that he’d seen several small shapes at the very edges of his vision, but when he tried to look straight at one of them it seemed to melt away into shadows. Whoever they were, they were attacking Mumm-Ra, providing distraction, and they had looked too small to be lizards. Tygra decided to go for the package.

Feeling that the distracting shots and remaining red sphere about lion-o’s limp body were enough protection for his brother, Tygra cracked his whip once more and back flipped into invisibility. Whilst stealthed he took cover behind a pillar of the room and hastily opened the mysterious package thrown to him. He could hear the demons frustrated cries of pain and rage!
The wrapping of the package beared the seal of ancient thundera, something Tygra remembered from his history lessons with Jaga…

A lump formed in his throat as his heart shrunk; a dry scream douldn’t find its way out of the Thunderian tiger’s mouth. Tygra felt a tear forming in the corner of his eye. What was this? Why? Who threw it at him? He couldn’t stand it and turned to look at the motionless body of his brother once more. For Jaga he though. What can I do?

Lion-o was buried in a wolrd of dreams and illusions, and he knew had to go that way in order to save him; it was the only way. But Jaga, his mentor, didn’t get to teach him how to control it properly…

(yes, I’m talking about his mind powers )

As Tygra’s mind wandered to lessons he’s had with Jaga about his gift, Mumm-Ra frustrated and defeated by the bombardment of energy shots from the shadows transformed to the recognisable black bird and flew back to his pyramid. With the coast clear Tygra’s mind came back to the present and before embarking on a journey of the mind to help Lion-O he was determined to find out who he owed for the assist and the ancient artifact thrown at his feet…

He considered every possibility. Maybe it was Cheetara and a magical box from the clerics, or something the twins stole and never understood what was for; it could have also been a technological device from Panthro. But none of them was in the room, so it had to be someone, or something, else.

Hi! New here, and I’ll try my hand at this…

Cloth rustled and steps pattered within the shadows. His eyes swept the room, and ears twitched with his attempt to pinpoint their location.
“Who are you?” When he recieved no response and the shadows remained still, he stalked toward his brother again with the thought I don’t have the time for this. By the roar, when did I become as impatient as he?

He took the package with both hands and carefully unwrapped it. It was some kind of sphere that looked like a large cat’s eye. “Some kind of focus crystal?” he asked himself; maybe that’s what he needed. A lens to boost his mental energy connect with Lion-O in the machine.

He took a deep breath, closed his eyes and held it in both his hands. “Okay Tygra concentrate on getting your brother out first. Then go after Mumm-Ra and get the hell out of here.” Hoping the unseen allies would buy him enough time to do this, he tapped into the mental energy inside. As he did this, he felt a bright presence near him. Was it Jaga’s ghost?

Whatever it was, Tygra soon found himself spiralling through a pinky mist. Though the voyage seemed to take forever, Tygra soon touched down in what looked like his bedroom from when he was a cub. He thought he heard Claudus` voice from down the hall.

(I think we’ve been hit with writer’s block.) :: puzzled ::

Hard sharing a story thread like this as you get an idea in ur head and someone completely changes it!! then again I suppose thats the challenge really…

He opened the door a little so he could hear better.

“You did good today, Lion-O. I’m proud of you, my son.”

Tygra was taken aback by the soft tone of his father’s voice, and even though it most definitely was his voice, that was something he’d never heard him say to Lion-O, not before the day he… he…

I think it would be easier to join in if people had the entire story in their posts and then added their lines to it, I don’t want to go back and read each individual thread to get the story, but that’s just me.

I agree.

The problem with that is that the posts have a characters limit :frowning:

Huh? Seriously? :frowning: I knew they had minimum requirements, I didn’t know they had maximum requirements. :jaw: I’ve obviously never posted anything that long. (we need a shrugging emoticon)

I guess making something like this work is difficult. But it was fun.

Why not split into chapters? This could be Chapter 1. You’d just need to set a limit to how many posts would make up a chapter

Then start a new thread for each chapter

And link to previous chapters, then? Because otherwise it would be a pain for new people who want to join in to find out what happened earlier. And would that also mean we have to try to wrap up the chapter neatly in that set amount of posts so it’s not just a sudden stop/start and confusing and difficult when you start the new “chapter” because you have to go back the the previous one so you don’t get things wrong?

Yes. I found that out when I was making Tygra Fans Thread. Of course, it is a very high number

That’s a good idea.
