I made it with high qualty plastic and hand pained it. I based it off of the prototype and the catalog insert. Tell me what you think.
Hey, that’s very cool looking for a custom figure.
I’m looking for a talented custom artist…there are many that do customs but they can’t show me what I’m looking for and when they do, it disappointments me. Do you have any female customs to show your work? If I’m going to invest my money, I want it to be good and worth my money. I’m not trying to be a jerk, trust me, I’m not, but I saw your custom Mad Bubbler figure and if you can do that, I have faith that you can do a good female Tcat figure. Could you show me some of your other work?
well the bubbler is my first custom figure and I’m working on a G1 unicron, I do have a portfolio full of work but not much which could show you how well I could make a female action figure. But tell ya what, e-mail me (calebzammit at hotmail dot com) with some of your favorite pictures of her, and tell me how you want her to look (size, colors, accessories) and I will sculpt her head then send you a pic. If you like what you see I will continue and give you a quote, and once I’m all done I’ll send ya some more pics and if your happy with it you can paypal me then I will ship it. Same goes for anyone else who wants a custom.
I’ll have to do that sometime…I want a Lynxana custom action figure but I don’t want her hair pasted on like a helmet over existing hair (it looks fat and ridiculous over the figure’s current head…carve down the scalp and then apply the plastic to mold the hair). People rush and do that unfortunately…that is what always keeps me from hiring artists in making customs. If they take their time, it’s well worth the price.

How long did it take you to make that mad bubbler and how much would you charge for a custom figure if done provately as Id like a custom of the t.cats figures which were never released.
he took me about 2 weeks to make but the next one should be faster. I’m not sure what a fair rate is that’s worth my time, i’ll see how much this one goes for on ebay then i should know (but it doesnt have any bids yet :?. What are the names of the other unproduced ones? Also i don’t need supplies unless you want me to add on to an existing figure, i usually just work from scratch.

Hey man, i was never into customs, most of them are very poor in overall quality but yours admittedly has a very realistic look. I thought it was the original Mad Bubbler:thumbsup:
thanks, once i finish with my custom g1 unicron i’ll have to post it here also. I figure if there not almost exact replicas there’s no reason to make them and its great fun to make the toys that were never made available to people. By the way if anyone wants to make a trade for a custom I am missing a lot of the later thundercats figures the thundertank and mummras tomb i also will trade for most of the other 80’s toys as long as i dont have them, and the trade is good.
