Lynxo (Bootleg or Variant?)

I was wondering if any of you toy experts out there could shine some light on this Lynxo that I am curious about. The seller had said that it is not a bootleg and is a factory error. He mentioned that the shield is a repo and that the legs may have been repainted. I find it interesting because to me it looks like it has the Tygra legs instead of the stockier Lynxo legs. How much do you think something like this is worth?

It isn’t a bootleg. I’m skeptical of it being a factory error. If it was a factory error and they did not have any more Lynx-o legs and did indeed opt to use Tygra legs I would assume that they would have matched the paint better. My guess is that the Lynx-o was broken at some point and the legs replaced. I would ask for more pics especially pics of the side seems and see how they look and if the figure was forced open so the legs could be added/removed.

As far as price I wouldn’t pay much for it (maybe $20 if I only had Lynx-o’s legs to put on him)

That Lynx-O figure may very well be some kind of prototype.

I’m inclined to agree with “matt” on this. It certainly isn’t a bootleg, judging from the head, torso and arms. And I highly suspect it to be a factory error. It seems more like a custom repair job on a Lynx-O with missing legs. Whoever did it, probably knew that a Lynx-O figure is more valuable than Tygra.

Another reason why I say this is because I have two Lynx-O figures and they have the loosest legs compared to all the other figures. One is almost to the point of coming off. I think this particular batch had a rather weak glue in the torso so it splits open easily. So it might be possible that your Lynx-O is also from the same batch.

Seems like a custom leg replacement to me. Those legs are shiny like acrylic paint…

Thanks for all of the replies everyone. I tend to believe those who have gone with the “leg switching” opinions. I asked the seller for more closeup pictures of the seams on the torso and never heard anymore back, so I am leaning towards the idea that he is hiding something.

Saw this on the Bay. Custom all the way. Seller should mention it in the description since the item is not 100% original anymore, but 33.3% Tygra and 66.6% (aprox.) Lynx-O :smiley:
