Not sure if I’ve missed it in any of the episodes, but has Lion-O ever been referred to as Lord of the Thundercats? I know he has been called king on more than one occasion.
I hope they keep it Lord. King Lion-O sounds so lame.
I think Tygra did when he told him something like “Go on, Lord of the TCs, ask him if he needs any help, or are you afraid?” when Pantrho was fixing the Thudertank.
Lion-O is Lord of the Thundercats, King of Thundera.
I’m pretty sure he asserted himself as Lord to Koinelius’s crew.
In the premiere. When Jaga gave him the gauntlet. He said something like “Now, Lord of the Thundercats. Go!”
I think the two are interchangeable. Often one who is a king is also referred to as lord.

Actually “Lord” is just a more generic term for nobility. They don’t have to be kings at all (just like the female version “Lady”). Though Lion-O is, of course, both.

I think it would be cool if Lion-O were an Emperor. I just like the title. Maybe because of the Childlike Empress in The Neverending Story - I always thought such a title was much cooler.
Second episode Jaga called him “Lord of the Thundercats”.
As Carl Rahl said above, I believe he is Lord of the Thundercats and King of Thundera. Even Tygra mentioned he should be king, he never said, I should be lord.
Tygra actually never said he should be king, he said that of course Lion-O will be a great king… but he would have made a better one teasingteasing LOOK AT ME, I’M STILL AWESOME EVEN THOUGH I CAN’T BE KING!!! and Grune gives asspats and inflates his ego.
There’s a slight difference between saying you should be king and saying you would have made a better one than your little brother.
I’m also of the opinion that Lion-O is Lord of the Thundercats and King of Thundera.
