I saw this figure of Lion-O with red eyes and want to buy it, my question is, who is special about this figure? so originally went on sale ?, is a special variant? or is a version custom ?.

My original Lion-O toy went like that. I grew to like it more without so much paint on the eyes. When I eventually got a replacement Lion-O I found it odd looking seeing his eyes with paint on them.
I agree with Gerrit. Either the white paint was deliberatly removed from the eyes or it wasnt applied during production. But it’s not a special version or variant and it shouldnt cost more than any other loose Lion-O in a similar condition.
It is neither a special variant or a custom figure :). As others have already pointed out, it is simply the normal LJN Lion-O figure but the paint missing from the eyes. This is one of those “red-headed” Lion-O’s in which the entire head was cast out of red plastic. Then the face and other features were painted on. Another version was the “yellow headed” Lion-O in which the head was cast from yellow plastic and the hair was painted on.
Thank you very much for your answers, really the figure is not expensive, but very well preserved details of paint, the seller includes a miniature Snarf.
