Being on his own is learning on his own. People need someone once in a while, but he needs find himself on his own.
Lion-o can beat Mumm-Ra right now.
Panthro took him on soloed. Cheetara was holding Jaga. Tygra fought him flying on narrow steps trying to slow him down. It wasn’t a real focused fight on destroying one an other more as getting the book.
Wouldn’t Mumm-Ra be more concerned with Lion-o and the stone’s anyways. If he’s all seeing why didn’t he go after the duelist when he had the sword I’m sure he has no clue on how to use it against him.
I like the Amostphere of third earth it’s like almost watching a movie sometimes. Too have the same character’s battling the same guy rinse and repeat boring.
It doesn’t have to be lion-o either. If the “NEW” couple wants to have some fun or go off and explore that’d be fine as well.
He is 17 and as you said before, given everything. He needs to learn to stand on his two feet, and the group will hold him back.
The group is not going to help him, especailly cheetara.
I think if he is by himself, Mumm-Ra will attack him.
Exactly he’s hurt and hurting so let’s put the Public Display of Affection in front of him and poor salt on the wound that will keep him focused.
That is what I am saying. You can’t expect him to get over his first crush. He just lost out to his brother again. I don’t know anyone to get over that that quick.
None of them even scratched him and they were all taken down. Lion-O is probably the only one that stands a chance against Mumm-Ra.

Lion-O is the Lord of the Thundercats it would be extremely irresponsible and selfish of him to leave what is left of his people. Of course the group is going to help him. Just because Cheetara picked Tygra it doesn’t mean she doesn’t like Lion-O anymore.
He just has to deal with it. He’s going to be around them for the rest of his life. Ignoring it or leaving the group isn’t an option. He just has to approach it like a mature adult.
The guy is not prefect. That title means nothing right now. He is immature. That is unrealistic.
Who can help him, no one. You think Lion-o is going to be like congrats cheetara, that is so swell that you picked tygra.
Look at history, how many men have battle over women.
How about this, if cheetara picked lion-o, would he gotten over being jealous? He was still struggling.
It would be better for lion-o and tygra that they had some space.

I didn’t say he had to be happy about it, but leaving the group vulnerable to get away from the situation is really selfish and immature. Having him deal with it in a better way will help the character progress.
Of course the title means something. Lion-O is the Lord of the Thundercats and has been acting like it all season. He doesn’t get to ignore the title and responsibility because it is suddenly inconvenient for him.

If he leaves the group is in danger as well. There is no guarantee that Mumm-Ra won’t attack the others with Lion-O gone. The Thundercats need to stick together.
Actually in the original series Lion O for the most part went off by himself. Only calling for the Thundercats later on. What he needs now is a mini self adventure where he meets and find some strange.
Well we do have an slightly incapacitated Panthro atm. That certainly needs to be taken care of. Panthro might have some words of wisdom and such to share with Lion-O. And he might also show him how to deal with loss by example. Granted the show might just cut to “…and now Panthro is better with cybernetic enhancements”
It would be a nice in-between and Lion-O does need to open up to someone (on some level). Also I really can’t imagine Lion-O just going to acting as things are normal with Tygra and Cheetara making eyes at each other every so often. I would think he would have to come to some realization and I would think that would require some meditation or else a “lesson of the week” episode.

BTW Huge Lion-o Fan at first like most fans I was skeptical of Lion-O’s design, but it really made sense considering the story they were working with (I was really never to fond of the whole Lion-O was a kid but aged because of his damaged pod crap anyway) he basically looks sleeker, then the original and I mean lets face it the “personality” of the original rarely went beyond “I’m a good guy so I’ll act good” but when the new guy first went “Thunder cats HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!” he sounded like he really deserved the role of the lord of the Thundercats!
I’m still torn about Tygra though he reminds me so much of Tygra from the Gold Digger comics in personality, and the whole “better brother, douche bag/hero” storyline doesn’t’t impress me to much, also he seemed way underdeveloped…
But it is the first series episodes after all so I’ll let it slide for now.
Yeah, I agree with this. Was Lion-O considered to have abandoned the group in the OS when he went off on his little adventures on his own? I don’t doubt that they will do the same at some point in this rendition. Would it really hurt him to spend more time around an experienced general? Not at all. Or, yes being forced to stand on his own without any back-up on the way. But I think he did that a lot in the OS… my memory is kinda hazy. I just remember screaming at the tv, “Why are you going by yourself?! It’s a trap!” and this was when anyone went off on their own 
Perhaps this is how Pumyra is introduced?
This isn’t the OS, though. The OS is so different in tone and story. In the OS Lion-O was usually leaving the group in the relative safety of Cats Lair and their villains were usually ineffective except for Mumm-Ra. In the new series the Thundercats are like nomads and Third Earth is much more dangerous. With the tone and story being what it is it would be irresponsible of Lion-O to go off on his own.
Lion-O is spending time with experienced warriors. Panthro has more experience than everyone else put together and Tygra seems to have been studied war tactics.
Does anyone have a favorite Lion-O moment? Weird as it may sound, my love for Lion-O burned brightest in Duelist and the Drifter when he was impatiently waiting for his sword. I laughed and thought it was so adorable. I’d like to see more moments like that.
I’d be really disappointed if Lion-O left the group because Cheetara doesn’t want him as her boyfriend, btw. I want him to become a good king, and a good king shouldn’t run from his problems or abandon his subjects. But I think it’s a possibility that he will, and as someone said, maybe that’s how they’ll introduce Pumyra?
If he does leave, I kinda hope he’ll come back to find that something bad happened to the others because he left, like they were attacked by Mumm-Ra and someone got hurt or snatched away to be brainwashed or something. His actions need consequences, and it might make him realise better that he has responsibiliteis now that go beyond just him and defeating Mumm-Ra.
My favorite moment with him is also The Duelist episode. I dont like it as a whole, but considering how personal it is to him, i like it.
I’m not happy with the romance thing, various reasons. However it is what it is. I don’t need the show to hurry up and write in a character without no developement and call it Lion-o’s new flame or give us some crappy flashback.
Romance is something that grows, I’d much rather see it progress episode to episode because their adepting to different situations and It’s much more real to me to see when is having trouble or down theres that connection. Besides it’s not fair to the other female if Lion-o doesn’t get over Cheetara anyways. This is something that will plague him for awhile.
I really liked Emeric. Lion-o was fustrated in himself and felt like everything is lost. He see’s alot of himself in this petalar and at the end the message of the life passing was excellent. Viragor was great too especially when he’s being held in his talon’s “Your not going to eat me are you” I liked how he figured him out not to be evil and switched the whole story around. I’d love the see a battle where he helps Lion-o out again.
Um… I can speak for myself when I say, I wasn’t necessarily meaning for her to be introduced as a romance interest,(and I don’t think anyone else up here wants a rushed romance either) but more if she’s a healer, they are going to be in need of those services soon. I mean Panthro lost his arms; the first thing that popped up in my mind was there’s a team member obviously missing. The one that fixes the boo-boo’s. And Mumm-Ra is going to come back livid. Hopefully he’ll stop that monologue habit he has (just for a second tho, can’t completely doom the heroes) and just whale (sp?) on them again and again. Villain needs to remind the audience why he is called such.
I really liked Lion-O in Legacy, though I would’ve liked to see the other guys as well. I think it played out nicely, that he didn’t have a clue what to do, and no back-up, and he was just along for the ride. His little motivational speech was cute too, reminded me that yeah, there’s a reason this boy is going to be king. Cheesy, yes, but it was the good cheese.
Ever since episode 13 the only answer for Lion-o is to write in a new romance or Pumyra will be on soon. I don’t want duct tape to fix the hole in the titantic right now. There is nothing wrong with how the show is going or went. The character development of Lion-o is excellent he’s going to make mistakes he’s not perfect even though he’s a Lion.
Basically I think it’s all gripe because of it being season finale and we won’t truely know what’s going on for weeks maybe a month or too. They sure left alot in the air and last we saw our hero he didn’t look well. CLIFFHANGER’S love em
I never said Pumyra should be used to make Lion-O get over Cheetara, or even that Pumyra and Lion-O should be paired up. But Pumyra has been confirmed to appear in season 2, and will have several episodes dedicated to her. And if Lion-O abandons the others to go off on his own, I think it sounds pretty likely that he’ll meet other characters and not just walk around talking to himself. And one of those characters could be Pumyra. I don’t see how Pumyra being introduced would be ‘fixing the Titanic with duct tape’.
