Here’s the latest in my Thundercats AKA line, all going well Tygra will be next.
Here’s his story:
After the Thundarians escaped their dying planet they went into stasis. During their stasis Jaga, (who had stayed awake to pilot the ship), became very old and very frail. It was inevitable that he would soon pass. After he died the ship was left pilotless and crashed into a red planet just near third earth. However, before the ship crashed the stasis pods were ejected into space. Each pod scattered from the stricken ship in different directions. Lion-O’s pod was sent hurtling to the outer reaches of the galaxy where it was sucked into a worm hole that sent him back in time, way back. Finding himself alone and friendless in a savage land of dinosaurs he soon realised his already muscular frame would not be enough, hunted daily by lizards the size of the thundertank he had to rely on his speed and agility. However, his speed and agility was not enough for him to hunt the kind of prey that was available. So, he set about building himself up and he soon grew to hulk like proprtions. During his crash landing in time the sword of omens was broken but the eye of thundera was not so he set about constructing a new weapon, The Bone Of Omens, fashioned from a mammoths leg bone it soon became one of his only allys the other being his claw shield. Lion-O has now earnt himself the reputation of the most fearsome being on this planet and he is no longer hunted, he is the hunter. He hopes one day that he and the rest of the Thundercats will be reunited and fight for the thunderian code once again.
Recipe:
Base = Savage Hulk, sanded down the pants and sculpted the muscles on the legs.
Right hand = fingers off the left hand reordered and left index finger for his thumb
Claw Shield = Completely sculpted around the stub of his left hand and right fingers
Heads = SOTA Blanka thought it would be nice to have alt. heads.
Clothing = sculpted around pieces of an old T-shirt to retain full articulation.
Belt = Sculpted around foamy and a 10 pence piece.
Bone of Omens = foamy shaped around a fodder sword then sculpted over to keep the weight down, it still packs a mighty punch though.
I did plan to sand all the clothes down to make them look smoother but once I’d finished the first stage of sculpting I kinda liked the messy look as I thought it gave it a kinda caveman look.
