I think it would be cool if they introduced new thundercats and had one based off a Liger.
There are lots of big cats that could be introduced: ligers (breed of a male lion and female tiger), but there’s also the tigon (don’t know how to translate it, in Spanish it is tigón: male tiger and female lion)
The tigon is shorter than lions, tigers and ligers -the latter are the biggest of all because the lack of a growth-stopping gene that is recessive in male lions and female tigers, while the tigons have it both from the fatehr and the mother, in which this gene is dominant.
Other cats that I’d like to see: a leopard (I know that Pantrho, being a panther, is already a leopard, but I’d like to see a leopard per se), an ocellot, a snow leopard, maybe a domestic cat, a jaguarundi, etc.
Never did like the words “liger” and “tigon.”
I woudn’t mind seeing mixed breeds, but for some reason I hate the actual words themselves. Makes me feel like it’s something a kid would come up with ya know? lol
Like for example if you breed a Donkey and a Horse you don’t get a Honkey or a Dorse. You get a Mule. A completely different name.
Anyway I’m just thinking out loud. shrugs
I thought that WileyKit/Kat represented house cats. I’d definitely like to see some North American wildcats such as Ocelots, Cougars, Mountain Lions and Bobcats.
On a side note isn’t Jaga supposed to be from the jaguars?
Yes, both Jaga and Jagara were both jaguars. However, I would like to see an Ocelot and a Snow Leopard, though. Hmm… Wasn’t Snow Meow a snow leopard??

A Cheetah/Leopard crossbreed would be neat, but I’m not sure about the name. Hmmm… The idea of crossbreeds sounds interesting altogether…and since we’re talking about ligers and tigons, I’m curious about character names.
In response to a cheetah/leopard crossbreed, I could see another Thunderian cleric, named Leotah. Come to think of it, I’m surprised nobody mentioned seeing a cougar in the new series. Perhaps the cougar’s name would be Cougarious, and could be Jaga’s apprentice, and possibly one of his clerics.
I second that on an Ocelot character and I would call Xendara a Lynxer because her father was a Lynx and her mother was a Panther.
Cougars, mountain lions, and pumas are all the same species with varying names. So, Pumyra is the representative for this group.
Indeed (I think cougars are the species with the largest number of aliases besides humans).
A caracal or serval would be interesting, if for nothing else to see how they do their ears.

You reminded me of my sims game. In the sims 2 I created all the thundercats. In order to populate New Thundera I created many other thundarians and had to come up with names for them. Lynxer was one, along with his mother Lynxana. There was also Bengala, Bengalina, Cheetaro, Cheet-O, Pumaro, Pumyna, Panthra, Pantaro, Panthron, Tygress, Tygor, Cougartha, Cougaro, Cougon, Leopara, Lepardo, Bobcat and Kitty.
I also had a story where Lion-S, Lion-O’s Betrothed, was found in her escape pod. She was still a child of 12, while he was now a grown man, mentally as well as physically. Obviously plans changed and Lion-S ended up involved with Wily Kat. Kit was not happy, hence the introudction of Bobcat and his sister Kitty.

Actually, Panthro bieng a Panther doesnt necessarily means hes a leopard. People use the word panther to refer to black phanters and black phanters are just black leopards and black jaguars.
In reality the word Panther is the name of the family that houses: Lions, Tigers, Jaguars, Leopards. Also, I think ocellots are leopardus not leopards, different things.
With that bieng said, I wonder what animal Panthro is. Between Jaguar and Leopard I would say Jaguar since they look bigger and more hefty.
Now if you want to talk technicalities that would be Panthera, not Panther, and it’s a genus, not a family. The family is Felidae.
I Know, its just I decided to call it family cause the genus Panther houses the afformentioned animals so between them they’re like a small family and also decided to use family cause genus is too technicall and could get poeple more confused. But forget about the liger, now I want to see a silverhawk

Agreed. Now for the topic at hand. Personally, I’d like to see some common house cats added into the mix, such as calicos, orange tabbies, minxes, or those hairless cats.
