Hi everyone,

I’m not sure if this thread belongs in this forum or not since it’s somewhat Thundercats related and somewhat not. If this thread is in the wrong place though, forum moderators, please feel free to move it!

Anyway, I just found out today while shopping the Warner Archive DVD-On-Demand Shop that Warner Archives is releasing 2 classic animated shows from Rankin Bass!

As you know, this movie was produced by the same studio that animated Thundercats, The Last Unicorn, and many other Rankin Bass 2D animated features and shows! It’s a must have if you loved any of Rankin Bass’ 2D animated movies!

[i]The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus[/i]
One of Rankin Bass’ last traditional stop-motion projects, this special features several voice actors from Thundercats including Larry Kenney, Lynne Lipton, Bob McFadden, Peter Newman, Earle Hyman, and Earl Hammond!

I haven’t seen Flight of The Dragons in a few years. I’m glad its finally coming out, though last time I saw a beat up library VHS copy I remember not liking as much as I did as a kid…

Thanks for the info! I love “The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus”; it’s one of my favorite Rankin-Bass holiday specials. But I have to say I wasn’t crazy for “Flight of Dragons” because the dragons looked like bat-winged blimps instead of sleek fire-breathers, and the animation could have been better than it was.
