Leonard Starr to appear at the New York Comic Con

I just received this email from a friend of mine.

It’s been awhile since I’ve had time to send out emails but I hope you are doing well. I don’t know if you can make it but the New York Comic Con is going to be on April 18-20 and I was able to talk Leonard Starr into going. It’s his first convention appearance in 20 years and he will be signing stuff, so if there was any ThunderCats stuff that you were interested in getting signed, then is a good time. They haven’t updated their website yet to reflect his appearance but he will definitely be there. If you want to spread the word to any other ThunderCats fans that you know it will help. I think he would be surprised to find out how many there are around. Hope all is well,"

Thanks Adam for the awesome news, this is more the reason for me to go to NY Comicon, I just may be able to make it over there, plus this is a one in a lifetime chance.

Who knows maybe I can do a short Q&A session with the man himself

How wonderful! Thanks for this great news. If anybody goes to this event, please take your camera and a notepad with you. A lot of us - and I know I’m one of them - will want a report on what Mr. Starr says, and any photos will be a great help. :cheetaraveryhappy:

Sounds good. I hope someone asks him about where he got the Grune character from - ‘The Ghost Warrior’ is one of my favourite Thundercats cartoons ever.

I spent a REALLY long time with him. I’ll give you guys the play by play soon, I just have some issues right now that need to be cleared up, as soon as that jazz is done… pics and more!

Here’s my pic of Leonard at the Comic Con. It definitely was a great experience that meant a lot.

Sorry I didn’t ask any pertinent questions that revealed some secret aspect to the show. I was kind of nervous, which is not like me, and I really just gushed about how much I enjoyed the show and his writing and thanked him for it.

He was really nice and gracious. He seemed almost surprised that I was thanking him.

So sorry for that, but it was definitely a great moment!
