Leonard Starr + personal mention... :)

Hi guys,

I recently contacted a representative of Leonard Starr’s, who I was able to locate via www.leonardstarr.com, to ask whether Leonard would be interested in taking part in an interview for the site. Unfortunately the response I received is not the one I was hoping for, but I thought you guys would get a kick out of knowing that Leonard Starr has actually seen and (apparently) viewed this site!

Here’s the e-mail I received:

Leonard would like to thank you for the nice comments and the fine work you have done on the website. Due to other personal committments, he would be unable to participate an interview at this time.

…Although obviously I’m gutted not to get the interview, it was still nice of him to get back to me. Just thought you guys would like to know!

Totally off-topic, but whilst writing, I’d like to apologise for the lack of work from me on the site over the past week or so - unfortunately just over a week ago the guy I refer to as my Grandad (my grandmother’s ex-husband and my Mum’s ex-stepfather) was taken seriously ill unexpectedly with pneumonia. He was taken to hospital where he suffered cardiac arrest, was badly brain damaged and lapsed into unconciousness, and he died on Sunday. It still hasn’t properly sunk in for me yet, but it’s made things a bit screwy in my house at the moment - even though he and my Nan divorced it was an amicable split and they remained very good friends, he would spend every Christmas with us… :frowning:

I promise that normal service will resume ASAP - I’m very aware that the new-look Cartoon Section is due to debut in just over 50 days, and Kyle & I have big plans!

Take care, and speak to you all soon!

Sorry to hear about that Chris, it takes a long time for things like that to sink in, im sure all here on TCL’s thought are with you.

Unfortunate about the Leonard Starr interview… keep up the good work
Look forward to speaking soon my friend..

Im very sorry to hear about your loss Chris, be strong and keep your head up high. I know what youre going thru and its not easy, my family will keep you in our prayers and thoughts.

On a side note its very sad to hear about the interview of Leonard Starr but perhaps in the future. Im sure he’ll come thru sometime

Take care Chris…speak to you soon

I only just noticed this Chris, and I’m sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my Grandad a few months ago and it does take a while before it truly sinks in :frowning:

And I don’t think you have to worry about being behind in work, you beaver away at an incredible rate!
