In fact, I made almost exactly the same a few years ago. The only difference is that mine has grey hands.
That reminds me- I almost forgot that I bought a 7306 Pharaoh’s Quest LEGO set because it featured two mummy heads with red eyes. Still have to open it to put one of them on my Mumm-Ra. 
The cool thing with Mumm-Ra is that he can be easily made with original LEGO parts without using custom stickers or somesuch. Never been a fan of those.
Using only original LEGO parts, I’ve also made He-man, Skeletor and Man-At-Arms minifigures. Oh, and a Rambo!
Sadly, I haven’t been able to make any other ThunderCats since they are much trickier to do with only original pieces…
I’ve wished for real LEGO ThunderCats sets since they started making licensed sets. Sadly I reckon they’ll never see the light of day.
If I’m not mistaken there were plans to make official sets based on the 2011 ThunderCats show but when the negociations turned awry, LEGO used what they were already working on for their ‘original’ LEGO Chima toyline. I even remember reading that one of the ThunderCats creative people at Warner wasn’t particulary amused by this…
I’m secretly hoping that one day an awesome fan creation will turn up on the LEGO Cuusoo site and that it will gain enough support to rekindle negociations between LEGO and Warner. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
